I am tired of paying sprint for ringtones, I was wondering is their program out their that lets me rip a MP3 (or just part of a Song) and use it on my cell phone as a ringtone?

Thanks

what you're looking for is WinLAME. It rips cds into mp3s or a phelora of other formats.

When I went their, they made sure to tell you who they were lol[/quote]

LOL that's hilarious.

I also recommend Audacity. If you want to edit MIDIS (which I personally love for ringtones) get the also excellent Anvil software (which I believe is also opensource)

Be sure to get a USB cable for your phone (you can usually find one for ~$6 shipped on ebay/Amazon)

I'm so angry that ATT disabled me putting freeware java apps on my phone. It's totally ATT too - the phone supports the crappy java apps you can buy from ATT. Disabling technology and crippling features that are bulletpointed on the cell phone's box should be illegal.
