How do you feel about Gamefaqs.com?

I don't think you know what that word means.

It's a fine site for free guides and walkthroughs, and if you want to get into the forums, you ought to be shot just for considering it.

I don't frequent the boards much unless there's something specific about a game I'm looking for that isn't in a FAQ. You can have relatively good convos on the older systems but I stay away from the current gen since that's where all the twits post. But it's always been like that.
At least this poll is better than GameFAQs. I actually posted this on GameFAQs as an example of how their polls usually go:

"Do you own a Wii or a 360?"
A. Both
B. Neither
C. I own a Wii and I love it!
D. I own a 360...it's an okay system I guess, but the Wii is cooler.
Interesting PS3 isn't an option, hehe. To answer honestly, I own a PS3, a Wii, and the original X-Box... haven't jumped to the 360 just yet... now that all the glitches and black-screen/blue-screen or whatever it was has passed, I may check out a 360 soon though.

If considering this definition of communism: "a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party", in comparison to the message-boards/forums, the crooked mods, and the "clique" of posters that seem immune to TOS and other standards held to any other posters, then ummm... yeah, I do. ;)

EDIT: PS - Before anybody spouts off, "what economic system" could possibly be part of GameFAQs, that would encompass their madarse horrid "karma" system.

I love the faqs, walkthroughs, and videogame review portions of the site.
I hate the message boards though. Idiots abound on the newer boards, and the older message boards often seem to get pruned or topics mysteriously disappear.

I suppose I should just be glad its FREE to go there.

I use the FAQs all the time (beats paying for a strategy guide), but I really hate the forums. Not necessarily the users, but the message boards themselves are really bare bones.

They need to update that shit STAT.

I like Gamefaqs for it's game FAQs. Big surprise. Over time, I've grew to hate the message boards, which seems to be 4chan-lite a lot of the times, except with more video game undertones. Plus the moderation system is horribly broken. So much so, that since they've inplemented a way to fight moderations, I've been able to overturn pretty much all of mine throughout the past year, since they were all baseless.

Good for FAQs, and certain boards are less infested with stupid than others. I generally hate the way the forums work over there, though. If a good topic doesn't get stickied then it's likely to just get locked up/disappear. Also, stay away from gamefaqs boards related to WWE games.

MrMugsy you just joined CAG and have succeeded in reviving two dead threads both on the same topic, to express your hatred of gamefaqs. Question is are you going to keep digging for a third?

:applause::booty:

Actually, I started out searching the topic threads originally looking for video game topics, and saw mostly trades, so having had issues with gamefaqs recently, I figured I'd search on the topic out of randomness, curiosity, and wonderment if anybody else had had similar issues... didn't realize that was such a felony, everybody has a right to their opinion, as well as a right to express it; and that's simply what I've done... besides, look at all the other posters who were more than happy and interested to post to the topic... old thread or not, it's become the new active subject of conversation.:lol:

I hope it isn't a problem...

Oh, and to answer the question... have you seen a third? No? Think I covered it quite well with the two I reawakened. Now a question for you, would you rather I have started a whole new thread of just my complaints with nothing to substantiate what I'm saying, and have to have it turn into either a giant rant, and/or flinging contest; as well as the addition of yet *another* thread of the same topic... or, keep it all in the same topic like an ongoing file? :)

PS - If you were to actually look at the other thread I "dug up", you will see, it's actually NOT on the same topic, since it speaks of a user on GameFAQs burning down a church and boasting about it, as well as taking pictures... and the only thing I added there was my 2 cents on the incident, and how it's just more of an example what a cesspool of vermin GameFAQs forums is becoming. :D
