How do you guys ship GBA/N64 games?

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic, but oh well.

I was interested in getting people's experience shipping GBA (and N64) games that come in their original box. I've recieved sealed GBA games from Circuit City this week and some of them were partially crushed in the mail, I want to avoid this when I start mailing out sealed or complete GBA games.

Priority mail, in the box the USPS gives me, with shredded paper / newspaper as padding.

Haven't had a complaint yet, ask Strell, he received a package from me.

Basacially you just need a sturdy box and some padding, not bubble envelopes.

I use the postal service's small priority boxes for both GBA and N64 games. They provide more than adequate protection and you can get them for free at usps.com

Small Priority Boxes

And if you don't want to pay the priority rate, you can always wrap these in craft paper and send them 1st class for under $2(GBA.)

I also use the Priority boxes and wrap the game in bubble wrap. For really cheap games, I will use bubble envelopes and charge less for shipping. My reasoning is, no one will want to pay $5 for shipping for a game that sells for only a few dollars (under $7 or so)

I've found that a box with bubble wrap or peanuts are a very bad way to ship cardboard boxed games (SNES, N64, etc.). Why? Because if the shipping box becomes crushed due to weight or abuse, then pressure from stands to crush the contents inside.

Lightly crumpled newspaper works best, then if the box is crushed then there isn't enough force to crush anything inside (becuase the newspaper just becomes a more crumpled).

But IMO, shipping flat sanwitched between two hard pieces of cardboard in a bubble mailer works best though most people don't like that.

Thanks guys.
I'm glad the usps priority boxes work well. I could just grab a bunch for free and easily pay the postage through paypal. Selling online is less of a hassle than I originally thought it would be.

The trick is not to stuff the box so full of padding material that crushing of the external box is directly transmitted to the game box within.

I've had some pretty crunched boxes come out of perfectly intact shipping boxes. This leads me to believe they were crushed before they became part of my order.
