How do you pronounce Suikoden?

I always said it as

Sue-Ko-Den

But I heard it pronounced on G4 and I guess it's pronounced

Sue-Ee-Ko-Den. Although the Sue-Ee is kind of run together as almost one syllable. Kind of like Suewee.

And the speaker on it (though it's kind of poor quality) seems to pronounce it as I said it originally.

Anyway my pronounciation was based on reading the word in print and kind of guessing how it would be said, so I wasn't too surprised to hear it pronounced differently on G4.

Not saying the G4 announcer is the definitive source, that's just what got me thinking about it.

But I'm lazy and often say something along the lines of Soy-Ko-Den.

I guess I changed how I pronounced it because it just didn't sound very japanese at SWEE KO DEN. Although, Sue-ko-den sounds close enough to si. (si as in sick)
