How Do You Wipe Your Ass: Sitting vs. Standing?

I've always stood, but in public restrooms, I feel quite uncomfortable standing while whiping. Never really stopped me though.

On another note, George Costanza's idea of making restroom stall doors reaching the ground is fantastic. That idea needs to be implemented.
 
What is the process for the standers?
Do you guys pop up, let your pants fall all the way to the ground and just clean your ass?
How about getting more paper? Seems like too much work.
 
I stand. How does this work in public restrooms? Aren't you rubbing your hand all over the toilet seat?

And before I stumbled upon this thread, I didn't even know people remained sitting to wipe their ass. Crazy how we all develop different methods for stuff like this.

That sorta relates to my early question. "when you stand and wipe, after you wipe you have a handful of shitty paper, and then have to turn around and make sure it goes in the toilet."

Its common human nature to want to know, what, how, when, and where.
 
This debate recentley came up a couple months ago between me and my friends. I am a stander. Why? Mainly because you stand to get a good view of the dump, and when you marvel at its appearance you are than in a convienient place to wipe. No need to sit back down.

This is pretty much why I'm a switch-wiper. I prefer to sit, but at work I don't trust the nasty people I work with, so I stand (or hunch somewhat, but it's more of a stand than normal).
 
This is a really tight race we have going on here. Thanks for all the feedback, and I'm just as surprised as anyone that people stand. :shock:
 
I need to go take a dump right now...

I wipe sitting down because, as many people have noted, it is easier to do and thus it will be cleaned more efficiently.

Here I come toilet!
 
OK, I just got back and boy was it not fun.

It all started off normally enough until I came to the part of which this thread is about, but I discovered that there was no toilet paper. So I had to waddle all the way to another one and get some. So this time I actually wiped standing up!

Shaq-fu, literally and colloquially.
