Hey guys! I'm new here  (and sorry if I posted this in the wrong section) and I just wanted to ask how legitimate are sites like gaming lagoon and prize rebel?

They work it's just time consuming and dependent of people doing your offers. BE CAREFUL and write down all the cancelation info if you sign up for any trials that require credit cards! I've had some success as shown in my sig. :)

Oh yea and welcome to the site.

i did a lot of the free ones on gaming lagoon. I stopped doing them after i earned about 40points, or 2x1600 point cards. Its possible to win prizes but it does take time and some hand cramps. I personally never did any of the offers that require you to sign up or use a CC. A lot of people here do those though and get some free shwag.

They are legit as long as you do them properly. I have made a few hundred dollars from them since January doing them casually. Make sure you don't use your personal email address for the offers, make some junk gmail ones. You also might want to get a second free phone # like "brrng" so you don't get calls. The best site I have found so far as far as $ per offer is points2shop.com or cashle.com. There are a few others in my sig as well.

They are addicting for me lol

It's really easy, and it's well worth it. If you want some proof look in my sig (below here) and click Trading Referrals...theres tons of proof I've gotten from site and some quick tips for new members :)

Too legit to quit.[/quote]
haha good call.
thanks for the helpful recommendations. i think i will try out gaming lagoon.

I would say no. From my experience using gaming lagoon, I really only get tons of junk e-mail. If you are doing the "surveys" that tell you to input a phone number, it is likely that you'll get phones calls for the next week or so. If you just ignore the calls, they'll eventually go away.

I can't say that I've gotten any more junk snail mail than I get usually do. I still get the occasionally credit card offer or the occasional brochure to join the military.

So yeah give them a try. Just in case you aren't familiar with the "surveys", the majority of the time they aren't actually surveys. Most are just sites that require you to enter your personal information and sign up for newsletters and click no to a bunch of stuff for the next 8 pages. You get a real survey every once in a while, but not often.

thanks.

If your going to do it, I suggest taking up one of the offers in the "referral section" because people will give you up to like 2 games of your choice just for signing up under them. (And doing an offer, of course.) I did it for 2 people and got 4 360 games :)

Don't bother with any of this garbage. Somehow I ended up getting signed up for some voicemail service or some shit and after 8 months or so they finally called and asked why I wasn't paying. Ended up costing $80 or so.

On top of that, you get loads of spam. Really, really not worth the hassle. Work a couple more hours a week and it'll make up the difference.

yah i signed up for a temp email and it is already flooded with 'spam ala mode'. i try not to put in my real info. but working a bit more doesnt sound like a bad idea after all this spam.

1) Make a new e-mail via GMail for use in these websites.
2) Don't be dumb and make sure you read fine print in terms of trial periods and cancellation policies. There's also a thread in the referral section with lots of detailed information about each offer. (It's the thread for the XBox 360 Games for free.)
-2b) Sign up for something you're actually interested in (like GameFly or Netflix) and you won't be in so much of a slump if you exceed your free trial period. That's the point of the offers, anyways.
3) They work. I got $250 from a TraInn website and spent pretty much nothing. Also got a few games and accessories from Prize Rebel. TraInn sites will be the trial offers and Prize Rebel will be the lots of spam. Just refer back to 1 and 2 on how to deal with these.

Yeah.
