How long do you game a day.

10-15 hours on weekends. Per day.
Though it depends on if I have anything to do, of course. Last weekend I had a ton of errands to take care of, so I only managed a few hours total.
This weekend, I have nothing to do! My girlfriend and I hang out at her parents lots of weekends: my girlfriend watches tv/movies, bakes, paints, and does her other hobbies, and I sit on my ass and game. So relaxing for both of us after a long week of work.
On week nights, I don't generally have a ton of time to game. Maybe an hour or two a night.
Get an LCD game screen. I noticed that my girlfriend would complain/demand attention when I didn't sit with her to watch her TV shows and would be in the computer room. With my LCD game screen I can sit with her and play a game while she watches her tv shows.
The key is to know when to put down the controller. If your friends and family are telling you that you're gaming too much, maybe it's time to take a look at what they see. I gamed a ton when I was young, right up into college. At that point, you'll have to change your priorities to get the things you want. It's easy to game 5+ hours a day when all you have to worry about is keeping up your grades, but try doing it with a full time job, a girlfriend, friends, and family.
On the other hand, gaming is a hobby, no different than any hobby your friends and family have. Maybe they don't understand that; It's slowly being more accepted as a valid and adult thing to do, but there is still a lot of negative stereotype surrounding it.

Let's see, being older I don't have the time, I'd say probably 3-5 hours a week, mostly on the weekends. Of course this varies, right after Christmas, things start settling down and I have new games, I'll probably get that ramped up to about 10-12 hours a week (depending how busy work is), though by March that's back down.

I really wish I could game more, but with other hobbies, I get the look from the wife if I play too much, and it just isn't worth it.

It varies. Sometimes I don't even play a game everyday, and some weeks I do it depends how interested in a game I am,but lately I have been to lazy to finish playing Dead Space. Use to I played around 2-3 hours everyday, and now I would say around a hour a day or none at all.

With school, maybe an hour a day max. Now that it's winter break, I game most of the day since I really have nothing else to do.

Last three weeks: 0 hours. Grad school, marriage, two jobs.

From now until whenever I'm expected back at my research position in January.... ALL DAMN DAY.

Same here.

i feel kinda guilty actually...i got jaded a couple of months back and gamed maybe 4 hours a week for a couple of months but with so many good games and good prices(thanks cag) my time and my wallet have been consumed the last month. I bought fallout3,cod waw, lpb, guitar hero 3,dead space, left 4 dead ,resistence 2,and farcry 2 some games are still in the plastic :( i haven paid full price for any of those games though so its cool. I have been gaming about 3-4 hours a day now but usually after work and my girlfreind is pretty cool so fuck it.

Binge gaming, nice.:)

Lately, it's just been an hour a day on my DS. 30 minutes each way on my subway commute to work. On weekends it depends what I have going on, but it usually ends up being zero hours. When I get into it on a weekend, though, I'll put in like 6+ hours on an RPG from my backlog.

I feel really bad about the amount I'm playing. I currently have a lot more time to play, but I end up just wasting time on the internet while watching TV when I get home. Before I know it it's 1 or 2am and I need go to bed before work. Once January hits I'll probably be working 50+ hours a week and I'll have to study for exams for about 10 hours a week on top of that. I'm making it a new years resolution to watch less TV and play more games. I think I can do it.

My gaming habits usually revolve around TV programming. I usually get about a hour a day in though. During the weekends I play a bit more unless I'm out and about. Last weekend I went through Gears of War 2, which took about 8-10 hours across two days. I hadn't played a game like that in years.

Most days I don't even game, it doesn't feel worth the effort lately. I probably game 30 minutes a week, if that.

Of course I've had some of the greatest gaming experiences in the last couple of years between games like Portal and Galaxy. However, it just feels like these are becoming far and few between for me. I really feel that gaming had a certain charm 10 years ago that it doesn't have now. Sure, the writing and budgets are bigger and better than ever, but they lost that essential charm. Now that I'm older I don't have patience to tolerate a game's flaws like I used to.

Maybe I'll enjoy gaming more when I'm retired, but as of now they feel like more work than fun.

My gaming experiences today are like my movie experiences. Don't see good ones often, but every once in awhile I'll see something amazing. Then once I'm done with it I won't pick it up for months, or probably years.
