i thought the jeans inseam thread was going to be about the amount of time/number of days you wear your jeans before washing them and now I am curious. I wear my jeans for a while..a long while until they get a stain on them or I feel like they need to be washed. The longer I wear them without washing the better they feel.
 
Yeah, as long as they aren't dirty I don't wash them. I really like how they feel after not being washed. :3


That being said..they rip easier when they aren't washed. >.> So many good pants died that way. :(





I'd say I wash 'em about once a week. If I'm on top of it.



Not sure about everyone else, but that's what I do.

And when I said once a week, that's only if I am paying attention. I pay attention when they get dirty. >.> I guess that was a bad way of describing how often I wash my jeans.

Since I only wear them on the weekends, when/if I go out shopping, etc,
I'd say 2-3 weeks. If I go out to a bar or something, I tend to wash them the next day or sometime thereafter though.

Until they get a stain. They usually don't smell, and if it does, I also Febreeze it up.

I don't like when my jeans start to fade.

until they tell me "ok, its time we had a talk........" i cant believe people use febreeze something about that smell is very off putting.
 
Usually about a month, and even after a month they're not stained nor do they smell bad.

The people saying it's nasty to wear jeans a long time clearly don't know much about denim..

I wear them once, at the end of the day throw them in with the dirty laundry to be clean. I guess that does explain why some people smell so bad.

I guess I wouldnt want to take advice about hygiene from people on a video game forum anyways though, so I cant be too shocked=-P

It is not your jeans. You are just a stank ass person.

Now if you go like.. longer than a week.. than yeah they might reek a bit.
 
After wearing a pair once they go into my "To be washed" basket. And it's not even a smell thing, I just like to have clean clothes. I guess I'm weird?

a) it's not about hygiene. what part of your jeans are dirty after 1 day? you do wear underwear, right? unless you sweat (and if you do, stop sweating) then the only thing that happened to your jeans over the course of the day is they touched your knees and lower legs a couple times. OH NOES GROSS I KNOW QUICK WASH THEM

b) it's about style. freshly washed denim sucks. you can easily see a difference.
 
When I'm on my own, I will wear them twice. When my parents are around doing my laundry, I have them washed after I wear them. I just can't stand wearing smelly clothes.

I wear them until someone mistakes me for Bon Jovi. Either that, or until the shitstains are larger in diameter than the kneeholes.

I wash a pair of jeans every 6 weeks... but I only wear them on friday, sat, and sun since I work...

so 6 x 3 = 18, give or take say 4 if I do something on a weeknight or if I stay home all day on a weekend,

that's a total of 22 times max.

when you pay like $100-$200 on a pair of jeans, not only can you depend on the quality and durability, but u also wanna wash as little as possible so they do not fade!!

I'm pretty obsessed with cleanliness, so I only wear clothes once before washing them. I don't care how clean you supposedly are, wearing stuff more than once is just gross/ghetto.

I wash my jeans very infrequently too. One pair I wear only occasionally have never been washed.
 
I don't wear jeans, since I prefer trousers. But I never change them until they either get VERY dirty or after a few days. I wear different pairs of course!
 
I have about 8 pairs that I probably wash ever 3 or 4 months. Now before you get excited, I only wear them when I go out, which is Friday and Saturday, and the random errand or thing the other 5 days of the week. I only wear them when I go out and take them off in favor of shorts when I'm around the house. And I do wash more in the summer when I sweat more. I may wear a pair and then not wear them for several weeks. I don't really stink them up and I couldn't imagine them being that dirty since I shower before I go out and I'm not a porker who sweats in the middle of winter or has excessive gas. Just a clean pair of sexy legs legs in them for a few hours at a time.
 
This is the first I've ever heard about not washing your jeans after you wear them. I almost always wash mine after I wear them, even if I've only worn them around the house. It's not that I wash them because they're obviously "dirty" or because they smell -- I just like putting on clean clothes in the morning.

I wear jeans almost exclusively (I own probably 10+ pairs). I don't worry about them fading or anything like that -- it's not a big deal to me, since I will continue to wear an article of clothing until it is literally so trashed that it will no longer stay on my body. And since I won't spend more than ~$20 on a pair of jeans, I could really give a shit if they fade as a result of washing.

And to lilboo and everyone else who sprays Febreze on their jeans: What the fuck? That's disgusting. Ugh. Go wash your taint stink out of your pants, as a courtesy to the rest of us. Collectively, we thank you.
 
Lots of people seem to think that wearing jeans for more than one day will leave them stinky and disgusting.
I'm pretty sure most of us (this definitely applies to me) take personal hygiene seriously. If you're leaving your jeans dirty and unwearable after only wearing them for one day, you need to re-evaluate your personal grooming methods.

Dress shirts, slacks, t-shirts, heck pretty much all other articles of clothing get worn only once before they are washed. I don't wash my jeans after wearing them once because they feel stiff after being washed and dried.

PS: Fabreeze method of dry cleaning = gross
But I forgive Lilboo because he's only 21. He's still got time to learn...

I second that. I guess we have lots of people wearing wranglers.

Its all about what does it for you. I wear a suit and tie 5 days a week so I might only wear jeans 2 times a week so I will wear them until they are dirty and then send them to the dry cleaners because I like to take care of my clothes.
 
I don't wear jeans anymore, I wear cargo pants pretty much all the time, I think they're a lot more comfortable. I'd never pay more than $20 or $30 for them either, fuck that shit. $100 for a pair of jeans is fucking insane.

In any case, I wear my pants for about a week or until I get something on them, whichever comes first. They usually don't really need to be washed even then, it's not like I don't shower or work in a shit factory.
