How many HOURS (yes hours) are you putting on the X360?

Let's say I bought it off Ebay for $600. And let's say I get paid $5/hour (after taxes). So I spent 600/5 = 120 hours - aka 3 weeks!!! - to earn that X360.

.

Okay now how many Hours did *you* spend on the X360?
Was it worth that much time spent at hell, er, work???
So this is basically just a thread to find out how much people make an hour?
no its another annoying thread related to a past annoying thread...

WRONG. You don't have to list the dollar amounts. Just the hours. (Thought that was obvious.)

Well, since we know an X360 costs $400 for the premium version and that's most likely the version anyone on this site would buy and no one here would buy a $600 X360 off of ebay, then $400/#hours = hourly wage of CAG's.

But then you can do the math to see how much a person makes.

$400/20 hours = $20 an hour

In his defense, I'm sure he didn't even realize that would work.

WRONG AGAIN. Some people are spending $1000 (yes they're nuts, but that's what they paid). Some are only spending $300. So no, listing how many hours you had to work tells me *nothing* about your income. (And frankly my darling, I don't give a damn.)

What this post is REALLY about, is to make people think about how much time they are wasting earning this console. Time is more valuable than money. Once it is gone, it can never be replaced.

Who are you to say that someone is wasting their time with their life? Couldn't someone say, you are wasting your time by posting such trash on a internet message board? Because you know, once it is gone, it can never be replaced.

If you had 100 people reply honsetly to your question and you then figured their hourly wage based upon a $400 price point, I'd venture to say you'd be 90%+ correct.

And I make salary.. so if I were to be buying one there would be no real way to answer your question.

Well, you could divide your yearly salary by 54 weeks (assuming 2 weeks paid vacation) and then divide that by however many hours you typically work in a week. This isn't a topic about video games at all, it's a topic about math!

Assuming I get one for retail it'll be about 425 with tax. I spent an hour setting up 3 laptops (which actually only required about 5 minutes of serious attention) and sold them for $150 each. 3x150= 450. So I spent 15 minutes earning my Xbox 360. (I got the laptops from work since they were just going to throw them out and then I sold them to GGs co-workers. I don't know why, but they're willing to pay $150 for 5 year old 350mhz laptops with dying batteries.)

If you go by my actual wage... 425/14=30 hours. However, you have to compensate for income tax, so 30/.75= 40 Hours. So, one week.

It's called stupidity. You can get a brand-new laptop at Best Buy for about $200. Free w/ a msn contract. I'm afraid I'd have to be honest - "Yeah I can set this up for you, for $150, but you'd be better off buying a cheap, but brand-new laptop."

I didn't know they were that cheap... I figured itd still be about 600. I'm honest about the condition of the laptops though. They're decent machines, but by no means top of the line.

After this we should ask people how much they're spending on just their Xbox 360 consoles (not the games). I can't wait to see THOSE answers!:bouncy:

What about also calculating hours spent in line etc...
So total hours invested to get the system at launch..

I cant answer until Tuesday morning..

lets see, my unemployment check for 2 weeks is about 600 bucks so it should work out nicely. SIKE! if i work about 60 hours, that should cover it. also, my walmart order has been approved(you know, the one withe the fourhundred dollar shipping!)

Yeah. I said stupidity but it's actually ignorance. They don't know how cheap laptops are. I got one for my niece, minus the MSN contract, she only paid $25. Of course it's only ~1000 megahertz with barely-enough ram to work, but still better than an old work laptop with failing batteries.

500mhz with 386mb ram and 20gb HDDs. They run Windows 2000 just fine.

Whoa. I've never read that on the Internet before.

Sweet. One more 360 left out there for someone else who does want one. Thanks.
