How much did YOU pay for your PS3?
Gotcha beat. $0 for the same due to a shipping error at launch (summer of last year?). Sent to me even though I cancelled my order.

Anyhoo, just after I cancelled and before I received the Kojima bundle, I bought the MGS4 80G regular bundle for about $120 (real money) after flipping clearance/cheaply bought games to GS for about a year. Had it since Sept 08, put in a 320G drive and it's been great.
$0.00 for a Kojima bundle? How sweet is that! :applause:

Initially I looked at the $499 80G MGS bundle but went with the Gray and glad I did. Before playing anything, I put a WD Scorpio 320G drive ($75) in and still have 250G to spare, 6 months later.

Now I just gotta find more free time to play it! :joystick:

$300 for a 20GB launch model, and this was in April 2008 (before any price drops, I think) when they started phasing out the launch units. The guy I got it from included an HDMI cable, too, and with the backwards compatibility I thought it was quite a deal.

I normally have reservations about buying used systems, but when I went to his apartment, he had about 7 game systems hooked up and they looked like he dusted them daily, so I knew he took good care of it. Have a 320GB hdd in it now and it's never had any problems.

$500 (in Amazon credit I got from a freebie site) for the 60 gb with full b/c back in summer 2007, when Amazon first dropped the price. Came w/ a free remote control and a copy of Memento Blu-ray.

$100 for a brand new 60gig from Blockbuster. traded alot of cheap games into Blockbuster and made flips of $4 to $32 a piece per game and such. ended up w/ around $500-600 in credit. this was dec 07-jan 08

$500 for the MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle off Amazon, back in October '08 when they first popped back up after so many months off the market. Would've done the Walmart $100 gift card deal back in June, but finding a MGS4 bundle was strenuously difficult with basically only one Walmart near me.

PS2 backwards compatibility was a must and I definitely appreciate that it's there (along with 4 USB ports and the card readers). I also opted for new over used since the MGS4 bundle went off the market so quickly (and PS2 BC along with it) and just didn't want to risk it for a discontinued product.

I paid full retail for a 60GB system about a month after launch. I knocked a couple hundred dollars off of it by selling my PS2 bundle on eBay.

I got mine for free as well as $500. I got a 60gb preorder from gamestop and sold it on ebay for $1600, the price of the unit was $600. And I bought a 20gb with my profit, and still have the console and the remaining cash sits in the bank for a rainy day.

$650 USD for the MGS4 Gunmetal Edition, but on the flipside its personally signed from Hideo Kojima himself. That was a fun launch at the Virgin Records Megastore in Manhattan:applause:

I bought 2:

$520 for 60GB US model ($449.99 + s/h + tax); new, w/ free six-axis, 5 free BD offer.
$450 for 20GB JP model ($399.00 + s/h); open-box, but lightly used.

I loved upscaling for PS2 games so much, I wanted to play my JP games upscaled too.

R$2000.00 for my used 60GB PS3 with 6 or 7 PSN games on the HD + 5 disk games and 2 sisaxis controllers...
This was last year, the Brazilian Real (R$) was worth about us$0.45 at the time, so it cost me around us$900.00 lotsa money innit... oh well.. its likelly already provided me with over 1000 hours of entertainment, so it cost me less than us$1 per hour :p

I purchased an 80GB system with the DS3 and Blu Remote for for $336 w/tax in early March of this year, when Circuit City was going out. Sold an old TV for $550, (57" rear proj). So it didn't sting as much...thus far I've used it Primarily for Blu, though I'm about halfway through Uncharted. Not sure if it was completely worth it yet - I play my :360: far more - but I'm glad I bought the PS3 as opposed to a standalone Blu.

I paid $400 for the backward compat 80gb off craigslist but along with it i got three game and two remotes. This was april 08.

the lady that sold it to me said it was her husbands who she had just caught with another woman.

Then got another 80gb(backward comp) about a year later for my step son for $400. It came with 6 games and two remotes

just recently paid $230 for a 40gb on ebay for another family member

I paid $300 for the Metal Gear 80GB Bundle on ebay about a week ago, even came with a extra remote. Claimed it was used but it looked brand new and included the original box with all the paper work. Real steal considering its backwards compatible

Paid 400 for 60GB pS3 with inFamous, and one sixaxis. Also came with Lumines, Puzzle Quest, Socom, Uncharted 2 Beta, Everyday Shooter, the Killzone 2 Steel and Titanium DLC, Street Fighter Alpha, and HD Remix.

ALso bought Valkyria Chronicles, and Disgaea 3, so I paid around 490 in total for a 530+ value.

I sold my Wii with all the games, Wii Fit, and controllers for $600. I then used that to pick up the 80GB PS3 for $400, an extra controller, remote control, and a couple games. I'm having much more fun with it than I did the Wii.
$600 + tax at launch.

60gb model

worth every penny IMO ^_^
Pretty much the same here. I bought mine in January, a few months after launch, but I paid full price and bought Resistance: Fall of Man along with it. Thanks to Amazon Prime the whole package was $660 flat.

NO regrets whatsoever. For everything it did at the time of its release, it was a bargain at $600 (though too pricey for the average consumer).

Got mine "free" through the referral section. I paid about $60 or so out of pocket to get it free, so, whatever, but I got the 80GB system the second it was announced with a free copy of Motorstorm.

I had some credit from flipping DVD boxsets that I got uber cheap at a Salvation Army to FYE($12-16 per set versus the $4-6 each I paid), so I had $100 in credit saved up.

I used $20 of it on the GTAIV guide, since I figured I'd never find a copy once it pennied, while the rest($70 and change) went to decrease my OOP on the PS3.

I paid like $320 something before tax for a 40 gb last April.

Has it been worth it? For all of the hours and hours of blowing crap up and the fun I've had? Yeah, I'd say so.

But the cheapass in me still can't believe I paid over $150-200 for ONE console.

I paid $450 for my 60GB PS3 early in 2008, came with Call of Duty 4 & 1 Sixaxis PS3 controller.

Since then, I bought a 320GB a few months ago for $89.99 a few months ago, and I'm loving having so much space. :D What sucked the most was opening the dang HDD caddy, two screws stripped on me, I swear the old PS3s had like play-doh screws that would strip insanely easily.

80GB MGS4 Bundle $400 the day it was released, damn Walmart deal. Wouldn't have touched the thing if it was $500.

60GB $450 when they were almost all gone, still sealed with extended warranty- gotta sell the thing.
