How much does the Rumble pack cost?

JokerCard

CAGiversary!
Ok, I know that the rumble pack is supposed to be free but...

I saw one today at Gamestop and I asked the clerk about the price. She didnt know and didnt scan it but asked the guy next to him. They were both very serious and not joking as they were handling a large amount of people.
The guy said it cost $50.

I asked previously about this same Rumble Pack for the DS and another guy said $15 without scanning.

So I was wondering....was I getting tossed around and bitch slapped and how much is that thing really worth at Gamestop?

That way next time Im going back prepared...

Did Nintendo decide that the rumble pack phailed or something? I want a DS Lite rumble pack, but importing that accessory for $30ish hurts my feelings a little...

Have you ever used it? Nintendo didnt have to decide it failed, it just failed. It sucks, it doesnt rumble, it just vibrates annoyingly.

One of the GS in my area had them selling for $30 awhile ago. Rediculous.

I recommend the 3rd-party one that Bandit mentioned, it's a bit quieter than the normal one and fits nicely in the Lite.

There's a lot of these at my local Walmart for 5. That's your best bet - it's a YMMV on price, but they should be on sale.

I have a black DS Lite with the 3rd party rumble pack. I was playing Ouendan 2 and I forgot I had rumble...that thing started to vibrate and scared me a bit.

A hile back my son wanted one, so I bought it for him. He didn't use it for a while, and when I asked him how it was, his review of the product was short and to the point; "Dad, it sucks. Really bad".

No real complaints from me. The Metroid Pinball rumble pack does what it does and gives enhanced tactile feedback. I wish it would support all games - even if it's generic rumbling. The PS2 controller spoiled me.

I've heard the knocks on the high pitched noise, but have never thought it was. I don't think it's underpowered either.

It's a bargain if you can find MPP cheap. Wouldn't get a lite version since there aren't enough games to warrant it.

it comes free with metroid prime pinball, or you can buy it for about $10 retail from what I've seen, but unfortunately I've only been able to find the "ds" version of it and not the "ds lite" version of it.

my walmart has them clearanced out for $5. i got metroid pinball awhile ago at TRU for $10, so i didn't need it.

I really would recommend getting it with Metroid Prime Pinball. You'd be paying half the price of that game just to get it by itself, so you might as well get one of the best games on the DS along with it.

One of the best games? I felt like I wasted my money buying MPP for $10 last summer, even if it came with the rumble pack. The game was so bad, and even up 'til now, there is extremely limited support for the pack.

I wish I could have found it for $5 or $10. Paid $20 for mine, and I don't think it was a waste. It's a pick up and play game pinball(ish) shooter game on the DS. Rumbling is gravy. Some of the graphics and sounds (especially the beasties) remind me of Pinball of the Dead GBA.

It can annoy though: limited tables, artifacts don't save, etc., but still fun.

Eh, I paid full price for it, and I don't regret it at all. I probably just like pinball games more than most people, but even putting that aside I still think it's a great game. And I didn't even buy it for the rumble pack, so I don't care about the lack of games for it.

I found Metroid Pinball for $5 at Sears a while back. Might wanna check that? I don't really like the rumble pack but now that someone mentioned Ouendan 2 uses it I'm going to try it.

i was just about to mention the rumble pack compatibility with ouendan 2, but MPP by itself was a great game, and i'm not a big fan of pinball games at all, hard game to beat, very satisfying though :)

I really like MP Pinball. I wish it saved your progress (artifacts, etc) but its still a good game.
