Hey kids,
How much are places like Micro Center and Gamestop offering for a used Xbox 360 premium? I just purchased a new tv, and would like to upgrade to an Xbox 360 with an HDMI port.

Thanks guys!

1) you can just go check yourself..
2) dont buy a used 360
3) get one off amazon or something for 350$ new, with hdmi, good hardware, and 2 free games.

I think he means how much would he get for a trade-in so he can get one of the new ones.

I really wouldn't trade it in to GS because they give you beans. Not sure about MicroCenter. I just did the same thing you're trying to do - I sold my old 360 and got one of the new ones with HDMI and the 2 free games. I sold my360 on craigslist for a good price. Try that.

hey guys,
to clarify, I am looking to trade in my current xbox360 to upgrade to the model with an HDMI port. The new tv I purchased has HDMI, and would like to take advantage. Micro Center is offering a refurb model w/ HDMI for 229.00 with a one year warranty... sounds like it could be a worthy purchase.

No one has called me a kid for 20 years, but I'll answer this :)

HDMI will offer you no significant visual upgrade if you are already using component. You will end up spending a significant amount of money here for no gain.

The biggest advantage of HDMI is that you can use one cable to pass audio and video. But that depends on your setup. If you have a receiver with HDMI switching then you can take advantage of this. One cable from Xbox to receiver, and then one cable from receiver to TV. Nice clean setup.

Otherwise you'll end up running HDMI to the TV and then have to play audio through the TV as well (unless your TV has an optical out that you can run to your receiver -- which defeats the 1 cable advantage anyway).

Stick with the version you have and put the money you would waste towards a couple of games.

I bought one of these from a micro center, and well, their exchange warranty is worthless at best. I went in and they didn't have any in stock to exchange and was told to "try back" later. It wasn't until I complained like a crazy man, that one of the Sales Managers said that they would contact me when one came in.

I got a call the next day and told one had arrived, I mentioned I would be in the next afternoon. This brings me to the day I picked it up. I went in, and they had a hard time finding it, and when they did, it had a nice, fresh, uncut, FedEx label on it. Once I took it home, I looked up the FedEx tracking number, and found out that it was delivered to the store the day BEFORE that I went in for the warranty exchange.
