With XBLA, PSN, Steam, GOG, and the Nintendo Store, it is easy to blow loads of cash on retro classics that you may have missed or just wanted to play again (or even the addition of online multiplayer may have influenced your choice).
I'd say I've spent about $300 on the various online stores. (On past generation games)
Probably another $150 on backwards computability PS2/Gamecube/Xbox games.
...And another $30 for "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection".
