lord of the rings: return of the king
nba street ball vol.1

no no no, gamerush never has systems in stock. dont ask me why, but they never do.

you will get about 2 to $3 per game at ebgames.

if you ebayed them you could easily get your $60 to buy a gamecube.

heck i am guessing the gta double pack would sell for $20 to $25 alone.(i could be wrong)

For all that stuff, no more than $20, maybe $25 if your lucky. Just to let you know, both Gamestop and EB will rape you in the ass with almost any and all trade in deals, excluding their "trade x, get x money," those are actually good for trashing crappy games, like Haven.

GR is better deal in my option... Tradein-3 games get any USED game for $5. You have to do it 2X and get 2 Brand New release (expensive PRe-OWNED games value trade-in $35).

Trade-in 6 games get 2 PRe-owned games for $10 plus taxes

Go Back Trade-in 2 Pre-owned games that you purchase for $10 = worth $70 plus taxes. If you lucky they let you combine the deal by let you Pre-order 2 games for $30. each :)

Sell them on here or ebay them I guess. I think they are worth close to $60 for all that if sold to someone, but if you trade them in you won't get crap, especially for the NBA street games and Wipeout because they're older.

From my past experience, Gamestop always gives better trade in credit than EBGames. Still, you're not going to get $60 with those games.... maybe $25 - $30 at best...

Here's how you work EB:

Sly 2 and NBA Street 2 are likely not excluded from trade-in deals.

Goto Best Buy and get Metal Arms PS2 using the coupon that's floating around for $5 off ANY PS2 game so Metal Arms is $5.

Goto CC and pick up a penny copy of Midway Arcade 2 and hit your Targets and find either Psi-Ops and Siren for $5 each

Now trade in the 5 above on a preorder tradein deal for Geist. The other games can be the basis for your CAG tradelist or sell on ebay . . . do NOT take the $2 that they will give you at EB or GS!

Come back the next day and cancel your preorder (has always worked for me) and you have $50 instore credit for $10 out of pocket (if you can find MAT2 :).

Obviously, you really can't just walk into EB (or GS) and do well with them . . . but if you learn the angles . . . you can make out alright.

I always get at least a 100% advantage on all of my EB trades (NEVER do I trade in a full-price game . . . of course I never buy a full-price game).

Then take your EB credit and buy $5 or $10 clearance games or use coupon codes to scoop up cheap PO ones online after you learn the coupon codes . . . for every game you buy with store credit gotten this way, you'll know that what you paid is really half of the total.

So (considering how much my credit cost me) recently I got MGS3 used for $5, Hitman Contracts new for $2.50, Gungrave used for $3, Full Spectrum War xbox new for $5, Paper Mario new for $10, Feel the Magic for $7.50 . . .

or I could order used copies of (they always have case and instructions) RE4 or God of War for $17 worth of my value (they are $34 PO after coupons including Edge card).

Not a bad method although a bit underhanded.

No way...that would be too easy and make too much sense to do. ;)

I dunno bout you but my local gamestores dont let em do that.

Gamestores usually have no problems in telling people prices. It's all about how you ask.

Does Cheap Ass Gamer look like eb games or gamestop? No. We may have a few employees that work at those stores, but they are hardly a walking index of "How much will I get for ______ game at ______."

These threads come up all the time around here, and nothing gets resolved from them. People either end up actually going to the store to find out the prices, or sell the games on here or somewhere else.

Underhanded? on the cancelling of the preorders? I've never gotten any flak for it at EB.

BTW, getting a clerk to give you that many prices over the phone is a challenge.

I think this kind of thread is alright . . . people want to have some idea of what will happen before they get there. And the fact that most responses are warnings is good.

Other than working a deal, NO ONE should ever trade games to EB or GS! It is a very bad exchange situation . . . these stores are big ripoffs. I've often seen people get screwed.

You should go to Gamerush...if you find a Gamerush that has a used GC system you can get *any* used game when you the buy the used system right now.

I have tried it by phone before and they didn't give me a number, so why bother. Their isn't a game rush nearby.... I am just going to go with schultzed's method or trade them in for star wars ds. I rememember there was a link for excluded games for ebgames. what is it? there isn't a link for it at ebgames.com
