How much will MGS3: Substance Retail?

CAGiversary!
How much will Metal Gear Solid 3: Substance retail for when it comes out? I'm hoping it will be $20 so that I can grab my $15 copy at Best Buy with a Gamer Gift card. It's a great game, but I don't like the camera engine. I can't see what is ahead of me when the camera is ten feet directly over my head. That's dumb.
Why is Ebgames still selling it at 49.99 while Gamestop has it for $30?
Probably the same reason why Gamestop and EBGames aren't meshing price-wise on a lot of products.

EB Games always lists a preorder at $49.99...even the ESPN games back when they were $20. Reason being is just to protect themselves in case the publisher decides to jack up the price at the last minute. How would you feel if you preordered a game promised at $29.99 only to go in on release day and find out it's really $39.99?

i thought i read somewhere that konami was MSRP'ing it for $50, but then was baffled when i came across the $30 Gamestop pricetag.

If you pre-ordered it for $30 at Gamestop, they'll stick to that price right?

Don't forget that MGS3:Subsistence will have a new third-person camera that should alleviate any viewing problems you had before.

Press R1 for First Person camera to see what is in front of you.
I would glady pay $50 for the 3 Disc Edition. :)
I didn't find the game good enough to warrant the $37 I paid for it a year ago.

I agree...this was probably, in my opinion, the single best game of the current generation.

And as for the new camera...I honestly don't see it changing much. The smartest way to play is take it slow and use the first-person perspective to survey the surroundings before charging in anyway.

Anybody know what kind of production numbers Konami is going to release for MGS3: substance? Probably not as limited as the last substance, especially since MGS3 will have an online feature...but just curious, because might pick up an extra copy and keep it sealed or so if it's going to be rare like MGS2:sub (PS2 version that is)...

you have to remember gamestop, eb, circuit city and just about every store all have a bunch of brand new MGS2:S PS2 for $20 at one point.
