How often do you play your "old school" consoles?

No, playing PS1 games on a PS2 doesn't count.

I have three "old school" systems - an SNES, Genesis, and an N64. Out of the three, the SNES gets the most play time. I'm usually playing through at least one or two SNES games along with my current-gen games. Also, there are a few that really can't be played through but can be picked up and played for short bursts of time that I play every now and then (Tetris/Dr. Mario, Tetris 2, Super Pinball and Mr. Do! are good examples).

I have my N64 hooked up but I haven't played it since at least mid-december, and that was only to try out a game I had picked up at EB the day before (San Francisco Rush, in case anybody's curious).

My Genesis isn't hooked up, and I haven't played it for months. One of these days I plan to hook it back up, as I've picked up some good stuff over the past few months (Gunstar Heroes, Outrun, Mutant League Football and Hockey, and Dynamite Headdy just to name a few).

What about you?

I don't really consider the PSone, N64, or Dreamcast "old school," but I guess they are getting there. I'd have to say my N64 is the most played.

My NES still gets used every so often. I still prefer playing Mega Man on the NES compared to the Anniversary Editions for whatever reason, and I still need to play Contra once or twice a year. I And every so often my friends and I gotta throw down and play some Crash n the Boys Street Challenge.

PS1 games aren't old school but the N64 is, WTF? :?

But if my PS1 RPG library isn't included then never, my nes, snes, N64 virtual boy all lay dormant.

I do have a recently obtained DC that I play sometimes however, is that "old school"

Most of my older systems are packed away. My Atari systems (400, XE, 2600 and 5200) and NES have been packed away for years. My SNES, Genesis, and Saturn are currently with my parents so they can play the few games they enjoy. My father plays RPGs on older systems (could never get him into the newer stuff) for small bits at a time pretty regularly while my mother will sometimes play a puzzle game. My other systems, N64 and Dreamcast among them are floating around my house in limbo. They aren't quite sealed away, but they aren't hooked up either.

When I want to play an older game I generally use an emulator. But thanks to this site I have a huge pile of games gotten cheap to keep me busy!

I play my SNES almost every day. I probably use my NES and TG-16 a couple times a week. The other older systems I have(gen./master sys./cd-i) don't get much play. PS1/N64/SAT aren't "old school". Needless to say, the Dreamcast isn't either.

Well, I play the Sega Dreamcast more than any other "old school" system. I do play the Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis, a few times a year. When I finally clean and organize my room, I will definitely play more old school games this year...:D

Genesis games by far get played more often in my house. These games are primarily played on one of the two Nomads we have. An excellent hand-held with a back-lit screen that pretty much needs to use the AC Adapter, as they eat batteries like candy. SNES games would be a close second, but they are all packed away preparing for our move. Going to have 2 game rooms in our new house, and a monster game room is in the works for basement when I get around to it.

i play the NES and N64 from time to time, probably once or twice a month, but i still play my snes every week. all of the games are just as fun as they ever were, those rpgs like mario rpg, ffiii, SOM, and chrono trigger take a lot of time and are excellent, plus i like to bust out super bomberman when friends are over, and speedrunning LTTP, mario world, and Super Metroid is always great. i guess i still play my snes so much because the games just never get old and everything just feels RIGHT; they feel intentionally timeless, a feeling i just dont get from other systems.

I play my new weekly, the saturn 1x a month, and I just got a genesis...so when I get some decent games I will be putting in a fair amount of time with that

I play a lot of Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Some Activision Anthology,.. Rarely Sonic Mega Collection... And I play a lot of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection when my friends come over :)

I plug in the NES probably 4 times a year. Start Punch-out at the beginning and go from there. Play some others from time to time, but never get into the lengthy games anymore (e.g. Zelda, Final Fantasy) that I used to play the most.

My SNES is rarely used because I only have a couple of games for it. Tried to finally finish Super Metroid and got bored. Sacrilege, I know. Decided to play MP2 instead. I'll finish some day.

2600 games are at my house and the system is at my parents, so I don't play that one.

I hardly ever touch my 2600,NES, or Saturn. My SNES see's some action , I play My Dreamcast a few times a week. I'm still trying to build by old school collection back up.

I play my nes everyday, mainly just a quick run through Punch-out (tyson) or a little double dragon.

Id love to play my snes and my dreamcast, but i lost the power adaptor for the snes, and the RCA caple for my dreamcast when i moved.

Occasionally like every few months i break out my saturn, but sadly i never get around to my genesis or sega cd.

oh and i play through teleroboxer on my virtual boy every few months.

I play my Saturn and NES maybe once or twice a month. I play my Dreamcast and N64 almost every day now that I rebought some games I used to have for them.

Gamestop had B2G1 on used games, which was stackable with 50% off NES/SNES/Gen games last week. I picked up a bunch of SNES games for $1.00 - $2.00 each last week and my SNES is getting a lot of play time this week.

X-Mas NiGHTS/NiGHTS on my Saturn keep me busy playing that. Otherwise ive got my DC hooked up. I play those 2 systems more than my Xbox/PS2 combined (Katamari not withstanding)

I know that they really don't count for being "old school" since they are new games, but I am a huge fan of classic arcade collections for the current consoles. I hope game companies keep releasing them! I also love the Activision Atari2600 and Intellivision collections for the PS1. I must also give some love to the plug n play TV games collections. It never fails to blow my mind that nowdays all that gaming power from the past can fit into such a small device!

It really depends on what game(s) I just got.

My NES sees solid weekly play. RC Pro-Am is still addictive as hell. Can't wait to get Micro-Machines.

My SNES just saw at least a week of solid play since I picked up Yoshi's Island. Since I beat it, the SNES is going to sit until I feel like getting back around to DK Country (damn this game has the worst savepoints ever). Otherwise, I'll break out Street Fighter 2 and MK3 when friends come over.

I have a host of Sega 32X and Sega CD games I need to get to next. Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic CD top the list, but I was working on Tomcat Alley, Batman Returns, and The Terminator all for the CD as well.

My N64 while not IMHO old enough to be Old-Skool, does see play around 2-3 times/week between DK64, and Shadows of the Empire.

I barely ever play my PS2. I did however pick up Megaman Legends for the PS1, not sure I care for the controls though.

95% of the time I'm an old-skooler. I got to see alot of how game consoles evolved, from the days of Intellivision to now and I have my favorites so I tend to play them more often.
I don't play them very much anymore. I ran out of room on my system selector. My PS2, Xbox, GC, and DVD player are juggernauts.
Haha, would you believe I have 4 (four) :!: system selectors? You should see the labyrinth of snaking wires!

If you like RC Pro Am, I would also recommend RC Pro Am II (duh! But it's 4-player!), Galaxy 5000, Super Off Road and Super Sprint. All are super.
