How should I punish my roommates?
Why would you move in with someone you wouldnt trust around your shit? I would only trust friends for that... but thats just me. Being a gamer makes it where you have alot of random valuables... would you just let anyone in your house while you were gone?
In college, a lot of times you need to sublet your apartment to someone if you're going to be gone for a semester. Many college students do this, not knowing what their future roommates will be like.
Obviously you jack off on their pillows.
And if you have any left, go for their shampoo bottles, especially if they use Pert Plus (since it already looks like nut).

Thats very true, havent thought of that. Good point.

But to stoop to jizzing in peoples shit? Thats a little odd. Thats just one of those crazy things white people do...

Cause growing up in the projects, if you were to get a black dude drunk and do one of those "Priceless" pictures to them... you'd be dead.

Not saying that black people are more violent or anything... so dont take it the wrong way... just saying that most black people just dont understand this rediculous shit.

do what i did: have sex with your gf, use a condom, put the used condom in their pillow cases. they wont find it for days if ever. now that is retribution.
I dont believe in the not paying utilities BS...

I've had roommates do it to me and I just dont pay until I get their half. Sorry, but thats common roommate curtosy.

It's sucks to have to pay utilites, but unless you unplugged every single thing that is yours including alarm clock, computer, TV, DVD, VCR, cell phone chargers, fish tanks, portable game chargers, hot water in your bathroom, your kitchen appliances that only you use and anything else that would use an LCD or things that would just drain energy I wouldnt not pay the utilities.

You're getting slack on everything else probably because you've decided to be a problem roommate.

Last time someone told me they werent going to pay rent and/or utilities I invited people to use their room since they werent a roommate at the time. I paid utilities that time, but I rented out that room just to be an ass about it.
Well, I moved everything electronic out of my room. That includes lamps, computer, printer, all chargers, a tv, all video game consoles. The only thing electronic that I left was our main TV that my roommates regularly use. We share the kitchen and the bathroom. Explain to me why I should pay for electricity and gas that I wasn't using. I wouldn't expect it of my roommates, why should they expect it of me, especially since I gave them all my rent checks ahead of time and said I wouldn't be paying utilities for the 2 months I was gone and they said ok.

If I had been using utilities, I would have paid. As I already stated I paid for the phone bill in its entirety for both months, and the only fixed rate utility I did not pay for was cable. So maybe I owe them like 20 bucks for that, but if I'm 2 states away I don't think I can be charged for their gas and electricity consumption. Maybe I'm foolish in this, but I don't see why. We usually split grocery bills, but they aren't asking me to pay for the food that they ate while I was gone.

edit- Also, as I stated before, I don't really care about the utilities thing. I mean I'm a bit miffed that they are reneging on what we agreed and that the note was so snide, but it's not a big deal at all. I'm infinitely more pissed off about the gas leak. What upsets me about the utilities is that they were so irresponsible as to let a gas leak exist for 5 days and still get off on telling me how to be a responsible roommate.

The thread should have ended here. It's the best solution, really.

When I was away during the summer, I didn't pay shit for my utilities. I'm not going to pay when my roommates are wasting electricity leaving the AC on all day. Even when they go out and it jacks up the bill. When you have more than 3 or more roommates and your bill hits about 200 plus dollars, you would understand. Plus my roommates couldn't do shit. The billing and charges were in their name.

Exactly. They were gone about a week before I came back, and the AC was set ridiculously low. I mean it was around 65 degrees in my house when I came back, while it was around 95 outside.

I live with 3 roommates, and I think the main issue here is... Did ask them if it was ok if you either paid a lesser rate or not at all on utilities.

If you didnt, I say live and learn and take the hit. As far as the gas main goes... you're roommates are retarded, look elsewhere next lease. But dont do any of this crap anyone is telling you. They'll find out one day, and that wont be worth it in the end.

Its like a fist-fight, if you whip out a gun... someone will anti-up... and then someone really gets hurt. Shit always exculates in the heat of the moment.

I live with 3 roommates in a 4 bedroom 2 story house... utilities are $250 a month... it sucks, but if you didnt sit down with everyone and let them know, and just let off a bomb when you got back... In my house you would just have to expect I'll be pawning your shit.

while jerking off on their pillows is the logical, and first thing i would've said, i think a dirtier thing would be to take a massive shit in a bag and dump it in an area of their room that you know they don't go to. by doing that, you let that junk stew for who knows how long, leaving a dirty, disgusting smell that can't easily be cleared out. same thing for puke.

puke + shit = winning combination.

That's good, but it's better to shit and smear it all over their walls.

(That South Park episode was hilarious)

About the phone bill, why don't you just have a cell phone? I seen lots of roommates do that to simplify phone billing.

I do, but I get horrible reception inside my house. I'm stuck in that contract and it works great everywhere else, but there must be lead in our walls or something.

Who's your provider? Verizon is the way to go once your contract expires. And go with a Motorola phone. LG sucks for me.

Ya know, a guy that lived down the hall from me 4 years ago, did that to his roommate...

Sounds like they did a real crappy thing to you ... I like the idea of jacking off on their pillows ... or ....

Get them really drunk and hire male escorts with giant wangs to come in and do them in their sleep ... then after you have posted their pictures on the internet demand that they get on their knees and beg for forgiveness

Seriously, you should put your foot down. First not pay for the utilities, second chew them out and make them feel like crap, and third start looking for some better people to live with if they don't shapen up :p

It's not even that they could have caused a fire and destroyed the property, but the other tenants could have been injured as well. Sounds like they don't really consider the consequences of their actions all too well.

After my bad roommate experiences, I just went solo. Yeah, it's a little bit more expensive, and there is less room in a one bedroom, but you don't have to fight with stupidity like that. Plus, utilities in one bedrooms are usually part of the rent.

Another bonus? Getting to be a 24 hour commando.
