How to copy PS1 games to PSP?

steve_k

CAGiversary!
I have a few PS1 games from Playstation Network on my PS3 hard drive. I remember copying these games to my PSP and it was really easy and self-explanatory from what I recall. However, now I cannot figure it out! My steps include:

1. Connect the PSP to PS3 using the USB cable and select 'USB Connection' on PSP
2. Select downloaded PS1 game on PS3 under 'games' icon
3. Press Triangle, select copy, and the game copies to the PSP

Pretty simple, right? At least, that's what I remember. I am stuck on step number 3. I see no option to copy the PS1 game to the PSP. I see the option to copy my PSP games from my PS3 hard drive, but not for PS1 games. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a feature that Sony decided to remove because they decided their customers were getting too much for their money? Are the people at Sony a bunch of assholes, or am I just overlooking something?

I think you just have to delete the games from your PS3 hard drive and then download them again.

I purchased Grandia last week and was prompted to copy it to my PSP when it finished downloading. Even after copying it over, the game "bubble" remains in my XMB games tab, where games used to go right in the PSP folder. So Grandia has the copy function, but all of my older PSOne downloads are missing it just like you.

They changed it in the last firmware update for whatever reason, so the copy option is in the install file and not the game itself.
