Itunes is completely broken on my computer and I cannot get it to work. I have deleted it and Quicktime several times and when I redownload it, nothing. How do I download the Cagcast onto my Ipod without Itunes?
 
In the show thread, a link to 'download it' is usually there. By clicking on it, you listen off a webpage, but if you right click (on the link before you reach the actual podcast) and 'save link as', you can download as an Mp3.

That doesn't help me get it to my ipod...

I can't move the mp3 file into my Ipod without Itunes.
 
Short of purchasing (or otherwise procuring) 3rd party software, I do not know of a way to transfer songs to or from the latest iPods without iTunes. If you have an older iPod (3rd or 4th generation "regular" iPod, for example), there are freeware apps that will let you do it. I honestly haven't looked in awhile for 3rd party software, sorry I can't be more specific. ilounge.com may have some pointers...
Edit: actually, it's fairly easy to get stuff off your iPod using just Windoze Explorer or the Mac equivalent. However, I don't know of a way to get stuff ON your iPod without iTunes or 3rd party software of some sort.

Are you still having the problem? If so, cant you just download it and 'open it with' > Itunes, and then drag it inot your ipod?
 
I don't know if the problem is still persistent but the original post said they're trying to find a way without using iTunes.
