I have recently won an item and the seller sent me an email saying the item is in transit and should arrive shortly. (this was last Weds - 10/18)

Since then, I had no worries until I saw the user was no longer a registered member of eBay. This got me concerned so I emailed him a few times to his Paypal's email address and have yet to get a response. I have a feeling I am being scammed here. I still have not gotten the item. Before I open a dispute, I wanted to call the seller. I know eBay has an option to request the seller's contact information. Can someone explain to me how to actually request this. I would much rather talk to the seller on the phone than through a messy Paypal dispute.

Also, how is Paypal when it comes to an item not received? How does that process work and how long does it usually take and do you usually win?

Thanks CAG'ers!

When you request contact information for a seller eBay also sends the seller your contact information. Just to let you know.

To get a sellers contact information goto the ebay site, and at the top of the page under the search bar it should say "Advanced Search" Click on that and in the left column under "MEMBER" it has an option that says "Find Contact Information," click that and follow the instructions.

Paypal is usually okay about issuing a refund. It is up to the seller to prove that the item was shipped. If they don't have a tracking number or shipping confirmation you'll get a refund.

Hope this helped.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can use that option when a seller goes NARU on you. You probably should go through live chat(usually on the ebay main page in the upper right) and see if the agent there can help you out.
