I'm trying to rip a dvd that was made for us for a sweet 15 and put it so it plays exactly the same on another blank dvd
anything that is free? that sucks that i need to buy a program to put dvd content on a dvd to play....
CDBurnerXPPro is free http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

It sounds like this is not a commercial DVD so it is not copy protected. In this case, you can just treat the content of the DVD as files and just copy everything from the DVD onto your hard drive and then just write it out to a blank DVD using the above program.

If you look at the content of your DVD with your PC, you will see two folders: AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS (AUDIO_TS is usually empty and sometimes the folder isn't there at all). Just copy these folders (and contents) from the DVD onto your HD. Then just write them back out to a blank DVD.

Go to apple's website. I know they have different programs listed. Also try going to dowload.com. Just search for a dvd burning program. You can filter it so it just shows you Mac programs.

Dvd decypter works for me but its windows only. Program compatablity is why I still use windows even though mac is better everywhere else.

This is the kind of thing that might be useful to put in your OP...

Go to applications in the finder, and go to utilities. Choose Disc utility

Put in the dvd, when it shows up in the disc utility, go to file, new, disc image (choose the disk, I think mine is something like disc1) Under the image format, choose dvd/cd master.

Pop out the DVD, and put in a blank, to burn choose the dvd image, and click the burn button.

I'm doing this from memory, so you may need to look at the help files if I missed something.
