How's Dead Rising 2 for PC?

I can't decide, PC or 360?
I have more friends with a 360 but I doubt many will even buy the game. PC, less friends but same situation.

How's the game? Well optimized? Good controls (I have an adapter anyway)? Any chance of a SDK and mods?
It is a GFWL game as well isn't it? I know this is one of the games I'd definitely achievement-whore in. ;)
Yup.

Hmm, is there an option to use the 360 controller with it? Also, GFWL? So it runs through Windows Live, not steam?

Yes the 360 controller works fine with it. And no, it doesn't run through steam. The game runs fantastic on my computer with no problems. Obviously the graphics look stunning compared to the console versions.

This game just screams console in my opinion. Although if you have a ridiculously good PC then maybe it is a good idea to get it on there.

It's really not that hard to run dude.

I only say beast PC so that there is a really noticeable difference between that and the console version.

Again, you don't need a "beast" PC to make the game look a million times better than the console versions. Just turning up AF, which doesnt use a whole lot of resources makes the game look better. You dont have to have AA cranked. The game also runs a helluva lot better too as there are no nasty FPS dips and the loads times are cut down tremendously.

I agree with you that it looks better (not as much as all the PC fanboys say, but still better) on the PC and I bought it for the PC myself. However I would still rather be playing on a console as it just feels like a console game.. As I said in my first post it's just my opinion.

Anyone up for some co-op? I got this for PC from D2D and no one is harldy on playing co-op so I usually just play with a friend of mine when he's online.

I was wondering if anyone had a playstation-style dual analog controller and is playing it. I have a PS2 controller with a USB dongle that I use, but I had heard about the button settings being static, so I am kinda wary of buying a copy.

On a side note, can you use a wireless controller + a play and charge kit on a pc; or do I actually need the wireless receiver?

The play and charge doesn't send data so it will never work if you try to connect your controller to your PC with it (it'll charge your controller, but that's it). You have to have the wireless receiver in order to use a wireless controller.

There was a post on Reddit a few days back that said "When someone asks if DR2 is worth getting on PC, I show them this:"

It's $30 at Fry's this week. So would I miss out on much (I'm guessing MP) jumping on the PC version now rather than waiting for a drop on the console price?
