Hudson Puzzle Series games

CAGiversary!
Just wondering if anyone has played any of these games before. I've played Slitherlink on the computer and would be interested in getting the DS version of that and a couple other games if they are worth importing.

I recently looked at the Hudson Puzzle Series but haven't imported any of them yet. You can try to learn more about the Huson Puzzle Series at their web site: http://www.hudson.co.jp/puzzle/

While most everything is in Japanese, one can find movies showing off some of the games, and other bits of information.

As I don't read Japanese, I looked at this series with an eye to avoid games that would have a heavy Japanese requirement. with that in mind, it seems the following are to be avoided, based on what I've seen on the Hudson site:

Volume 2: Crossword
Volume 7: Crossword 2
Volume 8: Nankuro
Volume 13: Kanji Puzzle

That leaves the following for consideration:

Volume 1: Jigsaw Puzzle
Volume 3: Sudoku
Volume 4: Kakuro http://www.nikoli.co.jp/en/puzzles/kakuro/
Volume 5: Slitherlink http://www.nikoli.co.jp/en/puzzles/slitherlink/
Volume 6: Illust Logic (a.k.a. Picross)
Volume 9: Sudoku 2
Volume 10: Hitori http://www.nikoli.co.jp/en/puzzles/hitori/
Volume 11: Nurikabe http://www.nikoli.co.jp/en/puzzles/nurikabe/
Volume 12: Akari (a.k.a. Light Up) http://www.nikoli.co.jp/en/puzzles/akari/

Of these, I'm personally most interested in Volume 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12. I like Sudoku but I've played through the games in Brain Age and that's satisfied me for now; if I want more there's a few other Sudoku games in English already. And Jigsaw Puzzle seems ok but not that interesting to me.

In researching the other games, several of which like Nurikabe I was not familiar with, I learned that Agetec is coming out with an English release of something called "Brain Buster Puzzle Pak" (apparently this was "Nemurenai Yoru to Puzzle no Hi ni wa" in Japan) in the near future that will have Sudoku, Kakuro, Slitherlink, Nurikabe, and Akari. Here's one page that describes it, but there's really not much info on this that I could find:

I'm considering getting the Brain Buster first, as other than Sudoku I'm not very familiar with the other games. I figure having a compilation might lead me to like certain of these games more than others. Then I might get the corresponding Hudson game. I wish they would decide to translate some of these as I'd probably impulse buy them if they were in English to begin with.

The only game not in the Brain Buster is Illust Logic / Picross, and I've played some picross online and liked it. However, I'm not sure if I want to get the Hudson version or the Nintendo "Picross DS" and i think there's one or two others from other publishers to consider as well (although none that I know of are planning to get brought over to English).

I'd really like to hear if others have imported any of these, and if so, how friendly are they for non-Japanese readers.

Thanks. Oh, I also found out that Volume 3: Sudoku was brought over as Nintendo's Sudoku Gridmaster, so I don't believe there is a reason to import that one. If anyone knows of any differences between the two it would be interesting to know.
