Well, I just got back from Fry's Electronics looking for a Nintendo DS for $130, but it turns out that my Fry's has them still for $150 and they were just about out.

Then after looking through the PS2 section I found one of these babies left (had been looking for one forever) and brought it up to the front. The cashier scanned it and it came up for 99 cents. I thought this was too good to be true. He scans it in a few times and tries to manually put it in but it still comes up for that price so he calls his supervisor. Supervisor checks it out and she says everything is in order, but to still check with the people in the Video game department. We head back there and they also check it out and it is also 0.99 cents.

Long story short, I got the game for 1.06 after tax.

Just note that only the pre-order/promo copy that they were giving away for free when you bought the second Shadow Hearts is the one ringing up for this price.

For all those Vegas CAGs, this was the last one in stock.

Same here. Does anyone know whether SH: C will ever become GH? Did it sell enough copies initially or how many copies were printed? I know that I thought that Xenosaga one initially didn't sell enough copies but I guess it did and that's why it became GH later on.
 
I DOUBT it will ever go GH - the reason why the first one dropped in price was because there was little to no promotion of it, thus the few copies they printed weren't selling that well. The reason the second one dropped is because they printed too many based on the strong reviews they got, and the strong reviews unfortunately didn't translate to as high a sales as they thought.

The good news is that a rabid fanbase has led to them dropping hints on a SH3 :)

SH I is hard to come by, since it's out of print. SHC, not so much right now. Here's hoping SH3 makes it to the States!

SH is extrememly difficult to find new, but used it isn't too tough with some real looking for it at store (i.e. the EBs, Gamestops, GR, GC, etc.). It's a pretty obscure game that can be difficult in some areas to come by. I loved it from the little I played of it before and am loving it now that I am playing it. It's a really good game that is saddly overlooked by the majority of the masses. SH2/SH:C isn't too difficult to come by at the moment but my bet is that it probably will be soon. I can't wait till this Friday when I'll be able to get one for 19.99 at EB :D \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I checked the Plano Fry's. None. I had him pull up the menu to find the nearest one and there is 1 at Arlington, TX and then I saw somewhere in CA had 11. I didn't catch the name so I'm guessing San Jose. Someone please pick me up one.

I think that's the store my friend reported to me that still had 11 for that price. He said it was some store that opened up recently there and had gotten a huge batch/shipment.

What make you think it is SJ? I was there last week and didnt see any. That store was opened years ago and not recently.

Yes, it just dropped this week, posted elsewhere but too lazy to look now. New for $19.99, and Friday will be B&M as well.

Yup, it's new and a couple days ago it was dropped to that price on the website. It's instore as well and starts today:D. Great price for it to complete my SH collection.

I think I'll go to EB B&M this weekend to get SHC for $19.99 (I hope it is factory sealed). Finally the game reaches this price. Is there any chance Midway or Aruze will release the Director's Cut version of SHC for USA? I know the chance are very slim but I still hope they do.

Not sure if their are any left at the Fry's you checked, but if they did I would appreciated it if you could pick one up for me.
 
I bought a sealed copy of this game a few days ago at Gamecrazy for $19.99 and realized when I got home that it was the promotional version. I wasn't too upset about it at the time until I saw this thread, since apparently I paid 20X too much for it :)

I do wonder though if they were really supposed to sell it for that price (or at all). I'm sure I could return it but also sure they wouldn't give me any kind of discount (and I *do* want to keep it since I've never seen the regular version anywhere). They'd just reshelf it and sell it to the next person for $19.99.

Oh well, the Fry's near me hasn't had this in, so no biggie...

When I asked the employee to check if they had any in stock he typed in Shadow Hearts and the results below popped up so they are separate:

Shadow Hearts
Shadow Hearts Bonus
Shadow Hearts Covenant

I figure they are priced high or they have them stored somewhere, because who passes up something for a penny. I would buy it just for the game case if I wasn't even interested in the game.
 
SH is not a very long game. I alreadly put in 15 hours, and just found out who roger bacon really is. So, I'm looking forward for SH:Covenant soon.
