Humble Bundle Thread

Nice, I've been wanting Symphony for a long time, and I didn't own Sequence.  I own everything else.  I can't imagine many CAG $6ing it due to repeats.  (Retrograde is kinda neat.)

That was a nice little $1 pick-me-upper.  (Which I badly needed after reading the GG thread before my morning coffee.)

Wtf kind of BTA is that?! Getting into indie gala inducing rage territory here. Let the bleeding heart charity cases buy their bundles.

I sure wish I could build a bundle. I only need Retro/Grade and Symphony, but there's no way those two games are a deal at $3 each.

It's a great bundle, yes, even at $6 tier. Problem is, most of us here own most of these games already. I'll get in on the $1 tier for Symphony, I own everything else.
For the 3 games in the $6 tier, they went for $1 for Audiosurf, $2.50 for Retro/Grade, and $1.24 for Beat Hazard Ultra (which is just DLC, on top of it) as recently as December. So, I'd say that $5 for those 3 is not a good deal. I'm in for the $1 tier though!

No. You're wrong. Your CAG card has been suspended pending disciplinary action.

$6 tier -- valued at the $5 incremental. Lets compare to lowest sale price, and ignore previously bundled.

AudioSurf - $0.99

Beat Hazard Ultra - $1.24

Retro/Grade - $2.49

Total - $4.72 (under the most favorable no-bundle conditions for you.

Here's your dunce cap.

Besthesda Bundle inc.
As yes, Besthesda. The developer/publisher famous for their Eldar Skrollz franchise.

Also, I don't think I have any games in this bundle. Is it worth it? I know it's a current 28 cent difference between the bundle and the lowest price-points but what I'm asking is could those lowest price-points even get any lower?

Harsh! Even with those calculations... I think the extra 28 cents is still worth buying now, rather than waiting for the next seasonal sale. Also, I put 100 hours into Audiosurf alone.

I'm actually surprised they didn't put Audiosurf 2 in at a $15 tier.  Even though it's still in Early Access, I think they would have sold quite a few more bundles (to #FakeCAGs, of course) with its inclusion.

Is Retro/Grade a bundle repeat? Not sure why it seems familiar to me.
It's never been bundled afik. We'd talked about it during the big steam sales.

aclayton recommended it back in summer iirc, then a few more of us discussed it in winter.

Claim something is a great deal when it isn't. ...well, there are consequences. And that was under the most favorable terms for you...

The more you talk, the deeper the hole you're digging.

That must be why it seems familiar. Best to keep waiting on it and Audiosurf in another bundle, then, it seems. Not sure if Symphony is worth the $1 tier on its own.

I would have loved this bundle if I didn't already own every single game aside from Sequence (and I think I've seen that on Steam sale for less than $1 before, so I'm gonna pass.)  Beat Hazard Ultra and Symphony are two of my favorite games.  Melody's Escape would have been a tempting addition, though...

Instant bundle remorse for missing Sega bundle after seeing this, although I'll still consider this as I do like rhythm games.
I had that feeling when I realised I've forgotten all about it and it's a new bundle already... for all of about 5 secs.. until I remembered the reasons why I didn't buy it on day 1 in the first place - we didn't really need another copy just to get them on steam; almost everything in there has some DLCs/expansions that aren't included (shame on you sega!).

Crap, I meant to buy the sega bundle. Anyone have an extra that I can send them $6 paypal for? I am mainly wanting it for typing of the dead and renegade ops.

Well the Paypal "Spring Sale" is up and they apparently are partnering with a schiesty key seller. They tried to dodge Reddit's rules against posting key sellers by linking to the Worms page for that sale but Reddit is not happy.

They overreacted. There are several promos on the page, only one of them is affiliated with G2A. World of Tanks, Worms, iTunes Cards, Imperia Online, Razer and Race the Sun are all legitimate offers.

G2A was their one mistake, but it's their first week doing deals. It's understandable they got auto-deleted by the bot because G2A, but the Worms offer was legitimate and side-stepping was reasonable.

But to shadowban them? Reddit can fuck right off, the user identified themselves as a rep, there's no wrong-doing here. That's no way to treat a deal site rep who is obviously new to Reddit.

The reddit populace "polices" itself by routinely voting legitimate deals (re: EA/Origin) right off the page. It's a nice place to get a quick rundown of hot and popular deals, mostly for PC, but that's about it.

As for the ban, most marketing reps aren't allowed to post deals anywhere they please. That's free advertising, and most deal sites would prefer to actually get some ad revenue out of it instead. Obviously there are a few exceptions for marketers who can convince site owners that they can offer value to a community beyond dealposts. Was the ban warranted? Who the fuck cares. 66% off Worms Clan Wars and 40% off Race the Sun aren't noteworthy deals anyway.

I definitely agree with that sentiment. It's why I just click "New Deals" instead of "Popular Deals", you can see all the downvoted stuff that way.

I mean, it's not like you're going to have to go too far back in the archive or anything (as by that point, the deal's already dead). As long as you check it once a day, you're golden. CAG is definitely the better place for discussion though.

Rome: Total War: Alexander Expansion ($1.25) -> http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-ROMETWALX/rome-total-war-alexander (It's the only thing missing, the Gold Edition only comes with the Barbarian Invasion expac).

Typing of the Dead's, Sonic Racing Transformed's, and Medieval 2: Total War's DLCs are not included, but the base titles are on sale.

Edit: A variety of Mega Drive/Genesis games are on sale through the site as well, but they are all DRM-free.

Edit 2: When it comes to Company of Heroes, if you are going to buy both expacs, it is cheaper to just buy the Company of Heroes Complete (which comes with the main game and both expacs) for $7.49. -> http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-COHC/company-of-heroes-1-complete

As for Medieval 2: Total War, the Collection (with both the base game and the $10 expac) is $4.99, so 50% off the expac alone. Waiting for a 75% off Steam sale is recommended (as the expac is not available on Gamersgate), but if you want it NOW for 50% off, here's the link -> http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-M2TW/medieval-2-total-war-collection
