Humble Bundle Thread

So from that banner, we've got Dead Island (DS Rebundle), Worms (Team 17 crapbundle), Banner Saga (Banner Saga "bundle"), Hammerwatch (yet to be determined bundle(?)), and Universe Sandbox (empty spacebundle). What's the third one from the left? Lens flare, the game, by JJ Abrams?

You guys act like you didn't love getting banner saga artwork
I hate pennied just for that. :p

No idea, but that might be tomorrow or Monday's bundle (with Hammerwatch being part of the other one). Then they might have a new banner for next week.

Suit yourself. I'll settle for the erotic ones.

(Preferably of talkinrock's daughter.)
Is the GOG thread really worth reading even if I don't plan on buying anything from GOG? I keep hearing all these jokes.

Also, so I just looked it up, and apparently the BTA-tier of the Banner Saga bundle, the "Variations" pack, is just a bunch of palette swaps. The fact that it costs $10 to begin with is astounding, but I think that guarantees that the Banner Saga daily was the worst Humble we've ever had.

Not until talkinrock stops holding out on us.
Yeah, the GOG thread really just consists of talkinrock being a massive c***block.

(Can I say that on CAG without censoring it? I dunno if I can say that on CAG without censoring it.)

Does Humble Bundle suck now? I dunno, I stopped checking in a couple of months ago, but I got in on the Rebundle of the Dead Island games, and the Indie one yesterday, and I thought that was decent

So, I pre-sold a copy of Worms: Clan Wars on SteamTrades for $4 and got an offer within a half-hour, so I managed to pick this bundle for $6 after all. A happy ending.

Considering the wordfilter for fuck doesn't work all the time, I think you can say cock if you want to. Not really a word I use in normal conversation, but to each his own.

I bought this on Steam when it was the same price recently and proceeded to put 31 hours into it of co-op (local only). I've only played a handful of the LEGO games but this one was by far my favorite. It's easy to recommend for $5.
I've played all of them, and I agree. It's hands down, the best one.

I'm still praying for the possible Traveler's Tales' Humble since I own none of them on PC. Someone's gonna bundle them eventually.. right? :p
While I could see a WB LEGO Bundle at some point in the future, don't hold your breath for any of the (Disney) LucasArts LEGO games (Star Wars, Indy, etc.).

I'm okay with that. I just want a bundle of them, then I can collect the ones missing when they go on sale.

They could always do a GetLoaded bundle through GetGames where you buy a bunch for an overall discount.

I would LOVE a bundle of lego games. A lot of fun, even if the games aren't that much different from one another, still a lot of fun.

Anyone have any thoughts on Hammerwatch? I mean other than IT'S A TRAP and bundle fodder.

And yes I know it was slightly cheaper on GOG recently but DRM free ewww cooties!
What do you mean?

HB's offering a both DRM-FREE version + Steam key.

They have the better deal here, over GOG.

2 birds, 1 stone.

EDIT:

*Edited to add: Someone on Reddit said "Hammerwatch is one of the games teased in the header for the daily bundles, so it might be worth waiting" so yeah. it's a trap. Also the general consensus there is Gaunlet clone, not much depth etc.
Oh, that'd be sweet in a HB - especially in $1 tier.

Plus, can't really beat that HB offers it in their store as both Steam key + a DRM-FREE version.

I bet they'll do the same treatment, when it's in a true Humble Bundle.

Yeah, I believe Ass Port posted about Hammerwatch being in the header a couple days ago.

i think he acknowledged that when he said he wouldnt buy from gog cuz of drm free?
Ah, fair enough - I get it now.

I think the only thing (possibly) better out of a possible GOG purchase might be if GOG offers up any worthwhile extras/goodies; and Steam doesn't have that extras up for purchase.

But, yeah - I think buying from HB is the "way to go" on Hammerwatch & Shadowrun Returns + Dragonfall - whether you buy on sale from their HB Store or wait for that stuff to hop into a true-blue HB; since those titles give you both DRM-FREE versions + Steam keys.

Hard to beat that kind of excellent customer treatment, satisfying both crowds.

No, I won't say HB sucks.

Sure...some Bundles might be garbage to you; might not be priced to your liking; and/or might have repeats w/ stuff you already own - but for us CAG that buy tons of games, that's often par for the course here.

A lot of times - I'm just looking for what I'm missing there, especially if it's in the $1 tier in a Tier; and especially if it's at a much better price in a HB or in the HB Store than say what other sites + retailers (B&M or digital distributors) been putting it out for.

New Flash Sale:

Ooo. That's a much better deal than the Night Dive Weekly. What's annoying is there's no DRM-free version included like you'd expect with an older game like that. I'll have to think about this one.

On the bright side, the release on Steam supports a Linux version. :bouncy:

SS2 is actually DRM-FREE from Retail.

Good luck finding a copy of that...and especially with finding it "cheap".

Oooh, that's cool. :D

I don't know, but this is probably worth mentioning...but Thief: Gold - Steam-version does have CEG (which indeed is also published from Night Dive).

So, I'd guess System Shock 2 - Steam-version probably might also have CEG?

I don't know, 1st-hand. No clue - don't own there; or else I certainly would've checked for you.

(i.e. to check - close Steam; run game's EXE from within game folder; see if it boots up just the game only and does NOT force to boot-up Steam).

We are? Don't all of us own everything Squeenix that we could possibly want?
The only Squeenix games I have on Steam are Thief Gold and Sleeping Dogs. I have Deus Ex 1, Thief: Deadly Shadow, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Tomb Raider 1 - 3 on GOG.

In short, no, I have very little of the SE catalog on PC, so a Humble would be great.

how do you have 500+ games but only that many SE games?

That's because you're a :newbie:

Obviously someone born yesterday might be in the same state you are, but we don't count them either. ;)

Squeenix stuff never goes low enough for me and hasn't been bundled. I suppose part of it is that I own a good amount of their stuff on console too, so I'm not dying to buy it again and pay more than I think I should.

I only got Sleeping Dogs because I got the complete version with all the DLC for $5. It's still in my gift inventory though in case they do end up pulling a Humble before I feel like playing it on PC.

Really?

Squeenix stuff always seems to go on sale lower...and lower...and lower...

And Amazon DVG seems to always have nice Squeenix Bundles - especially in the past, during The Tony Era...

Ahhhh...now seem that makes more sense - that you don't wanna get double-dipped on, since you might own some of their stuff on the consoles already.

I guess I'm cheaper than you? :p
You MUST be waiting for Squeenix games to hit $1 or be in a HB.

Squeenix always seems to be constantly having sales at 75% off or better, dropping MSRP prices even, and doing awesome bundles for Amazon DVG (especially during the Tony Era).

There you go. See, I wasn't around for those.

Also, I'm waiting for a HB or another good Amazon bundle, or for another good sale on GMG where I have $40 in credit to burn. Since I own a number of them on console, I'm really holding out for as cheap as possible, so the usual 75% off sale doesn't cut it for me here, I'm looking for 80-85% off. And I'm not in any rush to get them.

If Squeenix games don't go cheap enough for you, your only hope is
