Humble Bundle Thread

As one one of the 4 guys who liked Adventure of Link (i also "enjoyed" Super Win The Game, even though I dont think it's "fun"), I'm really glad I got the monthly this month.

Anybody know what type of hard drive or cables you need to get an external hard drive working on Wii U? I'm out of space and can't download the Humble Bundle games. Nintendo really needs to get its head out of its ass when it comes to internal storage on its consoles.
 
I just got a flash drive instead of going the hd route. Best Buy had a 64gb one for $10 at the beginning of this week, but looks like it's dead now.

The coupon they've had in many bundles changed to "new subscribers" only six weeks or so ago. I still had one left that didn't have that wording that paid for the May monthly. I have none left without that "new subscribers" limitation, and a few with. We'll see what happens now.

1993, Galak-Z, Jumpjet Rex, and Crawl don't seem all that strong to me. That's not bad, though, because there's more games than previous months and those four have more above them. Mad Max, Fran Bow, Infinifactory, and Shiny New Oddworld are strong wants.

Now to decide on next month. Do I want Rocket League?

Rocket League is great....there is also many bro nights that I want to join in...so seems like a no brainer. This monthly was alright. Not amazing but alright. I do love Galak-Z though and do highly recommend a controller to play that game with. Very fun but gets repetitive quickly when doing the rogue mode. Still fun though.

No kidding - very strong. I don't know what the "disappointing" comments were expecting.

I would re-up for next month if the 10% off coupons were still working, but for some reason that extra $1.20 is a steep climb for me.

Jumpjet Rex may not have much value but I've heard it's very good. It's been a want of mine for ages but kept avoiding bundles. Crawl has a cool concept, but eh I think it's local MP only which kills off any interest.

 
I guess I was out of coupons. This month cost me $12. Thought I still had one that wasn't "new subs only". Oh well.

You probably did. The website stated that the coupons expired on May 6th at 1:00pm eastern and they weren't kidding. I was camped out to prepurchase June's monthly as soon as it went live but changed my mind when I noticed my coupon had been removed from my account.

 
Mmmm... Rocket league. The problem is I suck at it. It is fun at bronights... But I don't have other friends playing it (and I don't like to play with random people)

I'm definitely in for next month as I'm the last person on earth that doesn't own Rocket League. I'm pretty sure I don't want to pay $12 though, so I may try starting a new Humble account. That is, if I can find a place that offers free email addresses... those are so hard to find.

And I know Rocket League was.

Whoever (Warreni I think) said Humble Monthly = PC PSN + isn't that far off the mark.

You do get to keep the games at least though. :roll:

In my case, not for half of the games to be things I'll never play, such as Galak-Z, 1993, Jumpjet Rex, Crawl, and Gunmetal Arcadia Zero.

Not me. IMO, bundle-buyers aren't generally equating PC gaming to console gaming. And if you're talking about PS+ on a PS4 the comparison makes even less sense, because it's basically half a console (no online mutliplayer) if you don't sub to PS+.

Yep it seems like they closed that loophole.

You could make a new account but then you'd have to buy another bundle or something else there to get another coupon. Too much hassle.

 
I already paid my $12 for June but I may do the new account thing going forward. It doesn't look like humble is interested in rewarding people who keep the sub going. That said, if they add a 6 month option at a lower per month cost I may do that. Not sure I could handle a year commitment.

Yeah I might wait to see what the new plans are before subbing for next month. It could be a better deal than using a coupon for each month, but seems a bit unlikely to me.

 
Crawl looks okay but... lol local multiplayer only.  On PC.  This was basically the console monthly -- how many side scrollers can you cram in one bundle?  Funny thing is I have zero interest in Rocket League but the additions to the next month will probably be better.
