Humble Bundle Thread

Meh.  I mean I guess it's a good bundle for TSW, but to be quite honest, if you end up liking the game you are better off waiting for a complete edition eventually with all the DLC because buying the DLC individually is super expensive.

I can't justify it even at the low BTA.  If you're a Monthly subscriber or even if you just pick up the odd games from ones you dont get, this bundle is pretty terrible.

For me, 4 of the 6 are repeats (not counting Grim Dawn). I have minimal interest in TSW, but Im not an MMORPG fan and I know I will not play it to the point where it is worthwhile. Dungeons 2 looks like an eh ARPG of which I have a mountain of that have not been touched. On top of that, its Kalypso and likely to be bundled again too.

Its just not a nice bundle for regular monthly buyers. Now, if you don't subscribe to the monthly or sold off some of these games for lack of interest, its pretty nice. Otherwise, it can go fuck itself.

I've been playing TSW since Tony's sales... Still scratching the surface and no need for dlc yet. It is a really huge game. But take that with a grain of salt, I'm not an avid MMO player.

fuck you, Nick

So the lowest BTA tabs I have open are at $3.04. Realistically it probably won't drop below that right?
Yep. My lowest was $3.06. It'll go up and maybe stabilize at this juncture.

The DLCs go on sale, yes, but you're likely going to be buying the ultimate pack anyway.. it's cheaper to buy it vs. buying the DLCs separately. I mean it might be worth BTA to try TSW to see if you like it, but if you do like it you'll end up buying the ultimate edition lol.
Yeah, it's worth it to me. I bought two or three DLC packs for LOTRO 5 years ago and I haven't gotten to any of that content yet. I still haven't even gotten a character to Moria, which is an expansion that released back when it was still a P2P (sub-based) game.

I think I bought TIS from someone when that monthly came out and I bought the monthly that Grim Dawn was in, but that still means Dungeons 2, Infinifactory, TSW, Volume, and Grimrock II for $3. Even someone (like me) who scours the cesspool for monthly droppings still has a good chance of scoring with this one.

Or you can wait for it to be rebundled with the dlc

If the DLC gets bundled, that is. Not a given. Even if it isn't, the game will likely be in more bundles, and again the DLC will be cheap to add with the Steam bundle.

The Ultimate edition is on sale right now through Bundle Stars for $17.99 or $16.01 with the BLACKFRIDAY11 coupon code.

Wow, that bundle is totally bogus for Monthly loyalists.

Although, as long as the featured title (early unlock) from a Humble Monthly doesn't show up in any $1 or BTA tiers I'm fine with some of these repeats from the past Monthly bundles.

Grimrock 2 showed up in the 2015 November Monthly. If you evenly split the price of all 7 games in that bundle, then Grimrock 2 was $1.71. Today, a year later, it's $0.33. I'm not going to lose sleep over that since we all know games devalue pretty fast. I just look at it like I paid $1.38 more to play it let it sit in my backlog a year earlier.

:whistle2:

I guess I'm good for the buck tier although, realistically, I'll probably never play any of them except LoG2 which I'll play once.

I already own TSW from way the hell back when (when it was the go-to game for City of Heroes refugees) and haven't touched it in years.

Grimrock 2 has been pretty cheap in the past.  I think I got it during one of the last Holiday sales for $4.  Obviously $1 is a great price.  Can't say I recommend the other stuff.  They keep pushing Grim Derp, too.  Didn't bite for $12 in the monthly.  75% off or bust.

Infinifactory got hard quick.  At this rate my bird brain may not be able to comprehend the later levels.

TSW is great. I haven't played in a long time but I'd be willing to jump in and play with some people, I was doing nightmare dungeons and did a few raids.

Some people will say that the game is difficult, (that idiot that riported everyone to playfire) but it's not. Don't skip out on dungeons, the 5 man dungeons are fun and net you good loot.

Did that the first day it came out with randoms.  You're behind the times!  I could play a few games as Cho'Gal with you -- you can just be the head that sits there and shoots.

For roughly $3 it might be worth it to get Secret World on steam since I just have it on the Funcom launcher right now. Anyone know if its a pain (or even possible) to swap your account over? The Secret World is a great game and definitely worth trying for $3.
In for BTA to put TSW on Steam.

Already owned that outside of Steam.

Maybe with it on Steam, I'll get back to it.

Plus, I don't own anything else here except Grim Dawn.

Tycoon Simulator is a pretty good deal if you're into those sort of games.

OOTP Baseball 17 is a must have for $1 if you're a baseball fan.

Would bta if I didn't already own big pharma and car mechanic. Glad I bought Big Pharma for $5 and never played it. Sacrifice well done.

Anyone crazy enough to want Out of the Park Baseball 17? I'll give a copy to the first person who quotes me.
Can I have it, please?

Thank you very much for your generosity.

EDIT: Thanks to Haar. You're awesome.

Just a heads up.  Humble said I already had Train Simulator 2016 in my Steam library but I tried the key anyway and it added a bunch of DLC that I didn't have yet.

Out of curiosity, what DLCs? I have TS 2012 or something from some sale or bundle and every year it gets updated to the latest version, so I now own Train Simulator 2017. Presumably all of the older DLCs are still compatible. I have absolutely no idea what, if anything besides the title, they change in these versions.

Ah, it looks like you get all those DLCs for free when buying the game on Steam too.

https://steamdb.info/sub/94143/apps/

Steam sells 2017 only tho.

Difference between yearly editions is DLC included.

"Base game" is just engine to use DLC.

So while number in library updates, you in fact do not own content from newer versions. You only get bug fixes.

Figures they're bundling it now since they're abandoning and making new engine next year.

Some day, when I win the lottery, I'm going to buy all the Train Sim DLC just to flood everyone's Steam community feed with "Syntax Error now owns Red Caboose | Green 1918 Caboose | Steammaster Engine | 1844 Old Tyme Train | Pump Cart w/ 2 Guys | Dining Club Car | 2004 Diesel Cow Catcher | ..." and so on for another three thousand dollars worth.

That'll be the day I delete you from my friend list

Awesome bundle.

Train Simulator hasn't been bundled in forever. I remember passing on it last time it was bundled (and before I saw the light of simulator games), and I kicked myself for it ever since. Now I can finally pretend to be a German dad who is cold and distant, and would rather work than play with his kids;

"Nein Hans, du cannot play with Vater's train set; ich has set up flow of maximum efficiency for work-output, and du vill just ruin it."

Why wait? Just add them all to your wishlist!
