Humble Bundle Thread

Metro Redux Bundle is 5.99 (5.39 with subscription discount), not a bad way to use part of that $10 from "gifting" the November monthly.

ETA: That $10 credit expires 12/28, give or take a day, so not too many more sale changes to pick from. I'm also not sure if you have to use it all at once, but I'll probably try it out on Metro in a bit.

Heads up, Getting Over It is a game that will totally enrage you if any game can.  I made myself get to the end but I do not know if I can do it again for achievements or whatever.  You can literally be near the very end, screw up and be back at the very beginning and when that happens you want to have a cheap controller in your hand.

EDIT: It's an hour & 10 minutes after the original post as I type this update, and they're pretty much picked clean. Surprised the stock lasted as long as it did.

It has to be used all on one purchase, I got Metro Redux Bundle and Cities Skylines for ~$13 - the $10.

 
Is anyone else confused about why the Codemasters bundle is running for 3 weeks with no 3rd week unlocks (if ever there had been such a thing)? Sloth? Ineptitude?

 
We'll probably see this more often with IGN. Still waiting for my free glitched Humble monthly sub to kick in.

 
Thankfully, the bundle is full of VN Anime crap. So I don't need to fret over possibly missing a low BTA.

WTF, a bundle I'm interested in but it launches when I'm sleeping. Best tier is $10 so missing the BTA didn't matter much for me, but wtf Humble.

Some info about the VNs in this bundle for the few on here that care:

eden* and Princess Evangile originally had adult content (which was removed for the steam versions) but don't have a patch available to add it back in. From what I've read the adult content wasn't good to begin with and Princess Evangile is highly regarded so it's probably worth it the $10 alone for that. eden* was IG'd so most likely own it by now.

If My Heart Had Wings has a restoration mod available and is butchered without it, so if you buy it for that.. make sure you install the mod.

The rest of these VNs never had any adult content to begin with. When They Cry isn't done releasing yet. The question arc has fully released on steam, but I believe Ch. 5 is the start of the answer arc. The anime is quite good and I've heard the VN is of similar quality if you don't mind the art style.

Welp, that $10 tier is an insta-buy. I only had Chapters 1-3 of Higurashi, it was that awful blob sprites edition, and it was on Desura, so I'm glad to get this new copy of it. I could never bring myself to finish it due to the shit sprites and awful music, so I'm happy to start over. The other VNs are just a nice bonus. But damn, I wish they'd bundle Umineko already. Quit holding out on us!

Nah the really weird shit isn't even on Steam at all. Some of these are actually supposed to be good games (assuming one likes VNs to begin with of course.)

 
I've played at least Princess Evangile, If My Heart Had Wings (own a physical copy....can get rid of it now), and some of Eden*. These are good games, and the Higurashi games are generally well regarded. Only If My Heart Had Wings is kind of in the meh category of what I've played. The story is too much about the science of flight and wanting to fly that it gets boring. Also doesn't help it needs the patch as a character is very nonexistent without her scenes. Also the last route is pretty lame. Very nice looking graphic wise, but otherwise not a great game.

 
Hmm interesting bundle and may have to pick it up. It will go nice next to the Sakura bundle further making my steam library a weeb wasteland.

Regarding donuts. Just take the whole thing, Eat half of it and throw the other half out or save it for later. Don't take your fucking knife and cut it in half and leave it on the tray you fuck.

I come into the training and 5 minutes in this is what I already see: 1/2 donuts, 1/2 muffins. See below what these bastards put me through every day:

Looks like one of the Evangile foil cards sold for $50 back in August. Last one of those that sold, though. I didn't get any Evangile foils.

And there were actually three foils waiting for me this morning, though only two from this bundle.

Yeah there are two with high listing prices but the buy orders aren't more than $3. The one I got is the lowest value. I don't usually have much with foils from these anime bundles.

 
Regarding foils, my luck has been that my most recent foil drops are in the 4-5 cent range which equates to me not being able to recoup the money to buy the regular version of the card.  First world problems.

 
I actually bought and glitch-idled the cards right after it launched so I got around $7 in Gabenbucks without any foils.  I have had good luck in the past with foils from the anime bundles though.  Lately I have been getting foils for garbage games I grabbed on Tremor just because they had cards.  Some of those are nearly impossible to sell even at regular card prices.

There's a weird new software bundle, in case anyone's keeping count. It features Vegas Pro for $20, which is a good price if you want/need a professional video editing package. It's not something I have much use for personally, but . . . if you like goofing around with Music Maker things ("digital audio workstations"), the $1 tier might be okay. The BTA is within $1 of the third tier price at this point, so it's pointless.
