Humble stopped using an actual average a while ago. Sucks tbh. They've done an overall average (average of all Humble Bundles) or just straight up prices, which is what this seems to be.
Edit: neeeever mind, my browser didn't refresh some of the stats - sheesh...

Yeah, I know that "BTAing" doesn't make any difference to the price, but they do still list an "average purchase" in the stats section, which seems to be stuck at around $6 or so ($6.17 right now). This doesn't make sense since given the number of bundles sold and the total income, the average should be around $3. Maybe they use some other definition of "average".

It's not going to be very "near future" if it includes the new Thief...

In for BTA if it includes those. :D

I own the 1st Tier already. :p

Getting lower tier bundle....been wanting Confrontation a while and some of the others games look aight. Divinity 2 is pretty fun...only one I played from that tier.

Is there an ETA on the next Humble Bundle? Isn't usually every 2 weeks on a Thursday?
Humble Bundles come when they feel like it. There was an unprecedented string of them back-to-back, but generally they're many weeks apart. They used to be on Tuesdays, but that string of them went to Wednesdays when there was one day off between two of them.

I haven't bought a Humble Weekly since they decided that they didn't want to do BTA anymore and started charging that $6 minimum. Screw that nonsense.

I'll admit the $6 tiers have been pretty mediocre but a bunch of the $1 tiers have easily been worth it assuming you don't have and are at least semi-interested in the games.  Gotta admit since I have Div 2 already this one isn't particularly appealing.  Have heard nothing but bad things about RAW.

RAW looks how should I put this.....raw.

I bought the lower tier but oddly enough if they had swapped maybe GoT and ToSH around I probably would have bought the $6 tier because I would not have owned either of the games.  Since I own ToSH and it was part of the higher tier I opted for the lower tier even though I want Wargames.  The $$$/game comes out the same but I can't overcome the psychological component when paying $5 more for one game instead of two even though I'm really not don'tchaknow.

Not the strongest all around bundle, but  more than worth being in for a buck for Divinity 2 alone. Despite the terrible reviews, also wanted Game of Thrones. The other games though...blech. Probably will never install any of them.

Edit: Hating this six dollar thing. If it was BTA, I'd be in for upper tier. Not interested enough in Sherlock or Wargame to throw down another five, but if it was 3.50-4.50 total...I'd be in.

I would like Sherlock Holmes, but I'm not really interested in the other.  I'll get the low tier to add to the backlog.

$6 still good for me. Most of their bundles since they changed have been right up my alley. A few extra dollars for charity and the developers - I'm down with that; especially for good games that I dont have

I <3 Humbles
If the games are ones I really want/are on my wishlist, I have no problem w/it. But if they're games I have a slight interest in, but wasn't thinking of buying before the bundle, the six dollar mark is justtttt a tad too much for me to bite on it.

Dammit, just bought Game of Thrones a week ago for about $5 more...

in the first tier of this, what games have multiplayer?

Any of them?

I know divitnity doesnt (wish it did)

 and RAW does

The rest im at a loss

cant find ANYTHING on confrontation

Confrontation has a MP.

It even gives you MP Game Key.

I ain't touched it.

Been trying out the SP.

So, how's the MP?

The combat's fine - but my God, this game has like...NOT much of a story nor character development nor anything of that sort.

EDIT:

Okay, so the story seems to develop....before and after levels w/ it sounds like the voice-actor of Mors Westford from GoT RPG narrating the story.

Might as well kick $8-10 their way for a bundle; I'm interested in Cities and Testament, and maybe I'll try some of the others in a year or two when I get bored enough. It's probably blasphemous here on CAG to say I'm BTA for no extra incentive.

Y'all ain't from 'round these parts, are ya?...

I think the base tier is probably worth it for Divinity II, however this being a single key, I don't like all the other games I have zero interest in to clutter my Steam collection. My OCD is sadly (or fortunately?) making me less want to buy this bundle. If there were individual keys, I probably wouldn't be mulling over it.

In this instance, I had no interest in either of the "beat the average" games but was interested in all of the others which I did not already own.  Thus, I am surprised to get everything I wanted for $1.

I know the feeling. I actually tossed in $1 two weeks ago for Skydrift and possibly Tropico 3 (I already had Sine More) and didn't realize it was a single key. I'm not having some silly horror game go anywhere near my Steam games list (and I wasn't too sure on Tropico 3 either)

I have to imagine the 1 key per tier is in an effort to prevent people giving away/selling/trading the games they don't want/already own. I'm actually surprised every time a bundle isn't all one key, since not having so many keys floating about could get more people to purchase the bundle instead of just grabbing a free key that someone dropped.

Last edited by a moderator:
Yeah, I'm sure they have been watching the key redemption vs the account and came to the conclusion that too many bundles were split up.

It'd be nice if you could at least pick and choose what to add to your Steam list at least, even if they are bundled.
I have all my games in genre categories, like indie, rpg, etc, but one of the categories is "zzzzz," for all the games that are not installed and I know I will never install. There's only like, 10 games in there or so, but at least it keeps it from cluttering the categories of games I will actually play.

RAW looks how should I put this.....raw.
I own it on the 360 from when it was on sale and Its honestly not that bad... It just has one egregious design flaw. You cannot save your character's progress while in a zone, only between them, and the zones are big enough to mean it can never be a quick gaming fix. If you want to play it you got to dedicate time to do so... but if you have a good chunk of time to play something then you likely have far more compelling options to play. (I myself always found something more compelling so I never made it far into it.)

I, myself, look like a BTA this week... Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper was one the most surprising games of this generation (Just a very smartly written story) and I've wanted to try the sequel since it was announced.

You don't need to download it if you don't want to - it is tied to your Steam account, but the games you don't download are grayed out, so they're sort of out of sight.

Testament isn't really a sequel; there isn't actually a narrative connection among the various Sherlock Holmes games produced by Frogwares. Having said that, they've been making these games for quite a few years so if you liked one, you'll probably enjoy another one.

Just bought Blood Bowl for a dollar.  Could care less about the others, thought I do like the Game of Thrones world.  I heard the game sux though.

Anyone else receive a gift copy of Game of Thrones on Steam? I already owned it when I redeemed.
Hm. I haven't redeemed my non-BTA key yet, but I'm pretty surprised you got an extra copy. Normally Steam doesn't do this. If it actually works universally and is not a glitch-related phenomenon, I'd be eligible for one too.

Apparently the story is really good, and worth it if you're a fan of the franchise (which it sounds like you are), so you might want to check it out anyway.
