Hydrophobia -XBLA Game- 1200 MS Points Out Now!

I get they needed to leave room for a sequel...no problem with that. But, close it neatly. For instance, why not a quick shot of the ship from above, maybe some slow-mo scenes of people on the decks above screaming and running from explosions.....something to put it into perspective and leave you wanting to play a sequel. I was left thinking "WTF is that? and F that shady Scoot sumbitch."

Look, the dev's did more than I could ever do. And they did some cool things to round out the package...cheevo's, awards, so on....but there were a few "stupid" oversights that make this a poorly executed package.

Here's to hoping the sequel is tighter and better. I'm out.

yeah, i just finished this, that has to be one of the worst endings i have seen in a long time. it was fun, and worth the $5, but damn, that ending was just disappointing.
um it's called a Demo for a reason. the game ends on a cliffhanger so there is a sequel coming up (hopefully at least) and you had enough once the demo ended, what's your point? you didn't buy the game, you didn't get the full experience. if that were the case, i'd say the same for about over half the xbla games out there. I tried the demo, didn't like it so didn't buy it. For $5 it's better than alot of crap that's come out in the past few months I say but to each their own. do you expect them to make the game for 200 ms points? it was a game built from the ground up, not like it was an easy port of pac-man or sonic. geesh
Thanks for explaining the concept of a demo. I could tell from the demo that the voice acting is terrible enough, the level design wasn't that good, the visuals are rough and blurry, and the controls were bad enough so that spending $5 to get more of that wasn't appealing. The point was that I wasn't expecting too much from the game since it's just not a well-made game to begin with, even after the update that was supposed to fix everything.

You have a lot of assumptions to make after saying you didn't care about me not enjoying the game. I don't really care what the price is since I expect a quality game for $1, $5, $15, or $60. I'm assuming by "built from the ground up" that you mean it's an original IP, though I'd suggest defending the better original IPs that have come out recently rather than attacking "ports" like it's a bad thing to have new games from established IPs.

Also, it stopped being $5 a while ago, so you can't really say "it's just $5" since it's $10 now.

As far as saying it was an outdated game (I'm stating this), I thought it was decent if not bad. Of course I also got it at 5 dollars and you take what you pay for. If the game was in the oven a bit longer I think they could have made it a decent if not good game.
I would have named it Maintanence Tunnels: The Game
Unfortunately you're forgetting one main element of the game, the water. True you could name the game whatever and it doesn't affect gameplay, dull visuals and overplayed voice overs but the name has to relate to the concept of the game (to sell well). Now Underwater Nightmare could be more plausible but that would be closer to Resident Evil or Deadspace lol.
