Hyperdimension Neptunia $29.99 on gamestop.com
How bad is this game? I might consider picking this up. They are available at my gamestops.
Pretty damn awful. But nice box set. :3

Yeah people are saying this game is the regular edition only . I guess I will hold off then. I was looking for a JPRG on the system that wasn't Valkyria, Demon Souls, Resonance of Fate or FF XIII. Something more traditional in battle style but still unique enough.
I'm pretty sure these are just the normal editions.
If it arrives normal, I'll just return it, so no biggie.

Do you only have a Ps3? or a 306 too? I really recommend eternal sonata for PS3, it's traditional and it doesn't suck :p. Magna Carta II was really fun for 360.

Just a PS3. I will check out Eternal Sonata sometime. It's sitting in my backlog atm

The only reason I bought one (a while ago) is because I like collecting jrpgs. It's really hard to recommend it otherwise. Also any of the Atelier or Ar Tonelico games are good too.

I called local GS & I they told me both LE version & Normal version now is $29.99. Which one you going to get is UP to YOU!!!!
Ha! I feel bad for those people who bought it for $60 a few days ago.
Apparently, these are just the Regular Edition being sold online.

The one for $60 did say "Special Edition" on the link.

You can complain to Gamestop.com for the misleading pic, or just do an in-store pick up to save you the trouble.

so can someone say reprint? or did they just find a warehouse full of these, I mean shit every single gamestop near me now has it in stock in store...
Seems demand for this game has died down... they're now selling between $37 - $50 on Ebay.

Not much of a profit after Ebay fees.
I sold one of my premium editions on eBay yesterday for $120. Just sayin'.

I enjoyed it, but then again, I enjoyed the story with all it's old-school game references and funny dialogue more than the actual battle system. There are other RPGs out there with better battle systems (the healing system is wonky), but the story makes it worth it.

But putting this out there, if you don't like JRPGs, just move along. It won't change your mind.

I just checked ebay, and they're still selling for about $60-$70, non special editions (which are selling for more).

Actually on my invoice after I placed the order it actually says "Special Edition", so I feel pretty good about it.

Plus, Gamestop only has one sku they use for this product, so it doesn't make a difference if it's the regular or special, it'll be listed under the same sku in Gamestop's system.

Actually, they don't have that many left. I tried to see how many I could add to my cart, but it capped itself pretty low, so may be oos soon.

If you get 3, you can add a 99 cent WoW starter edition to your cart and then use the promo code IGNXMAS to get $15 off ... just sayin. :p

I had GS credit so I grabbed it. I've been wanting to play this but I didn't want to open my sealed LE copy. Now I can play it then sell it and keep my sealed copy sealed. :)

hearing from ZxT how bad this is.... It would be in the pile for collection purposes but i cant even come to buy it for that reason with this month getting crazy and then xmas shopping that needs to be done.

Are people still over paying for the special edition? I know a GS near me has a gutted copy so that might still fetch a few dollars or even just keep it at $30.

I finally gave up on this last week when looked stuck at $60, and now it rises from the ashes with tempting $30 mark...decisions.

All GameStops near me got more stock of this, and every single place I called only has the regular edition (which came in a shipment, today).

Even the store I KNEW had some SEs a week or two ago don't anymore.

If you're looking for the special edition of this game, don't bother. I just got my order and it's the stand alone game. Motherfuckers!!! Now I have to drive over there and return this shit!!:hot:

The link for the Special Edition used the same number as the regular edition's link does now. It's very likely that if you can find one that had the game in stock before today (which is when the link changed and more stores got in a shipment), it'll likely cost the same as a standard edition.

Thankfully, I noticed which stores had it in stock in my area yesterday, back when only the used copies had dropped in price.

Suck! all my local GS in Missouri and none have LE version instock ( Already checked Independence Commons, Independence Center, Shops @ Eastland Ctr, Market Place S/C, Adams Dairy Landing, Benjamin Plaza, Country Club Plaza). I'll pick up regular version when it hit $19.99 or less ;)

That is the case, but what I was saying was that perhaps they had all the stores send their SEs back to the warehouse or something similar.

Stores near me had gutted copies of the SE with the extras held behind the counter, and they're all gone now. Either this is a true reprint or maybe they just recalled all their SEs, took the games out of them and redistributed across all stores.

Literally every store has them in-stock now, but all of them also confirmed that the "shipment" of them that came in today was 1 fucking copy. Instantly gutted.

I'd like to think this was true...but knowing GS from past experiences involving saving space for shelves and drawers, they most likely just tossed the extras in the garbage. :bomb:

Eternal Sonata was fantastic! Also I really enjoyed Star Ocean The Last Hope:International Edition. The ps3 version has extra content on Eternal Sonata and Star Ocean so better to get those two.

Played Star Ocean, hated the battle system. Have to give Eternal Sonata a try then because it's in my backlog, well sometime. After these next few days I have at least 2 months of gaming to play with all these new releases

Awesome! I was jobless when this first came out and didn't get to buy it. Wanted to jump on the SEs being back in stock for $60, but just the game for $30 is good enough for me.

Yeah I'm gonna grab a pre-owned copy for $25.XX after tax. I need to go back and platinum it. Still have my SE sealed, and it'll stay that way I guess.

First purchase I've made from this joke of a game retailer in over 5 years. Well played, Gamestop... Well played.
