I am going to be speding about 2 weeks in those places. I am just wondering what are some of the things I should be doing or buying while I am there.

Go to Sham Shui Po on the red line in HK. Gaming heaven. And trust me, bootlegs are blatantly obvious in HK. If they don't come in a dvd case, bootleg. If you're buying gba carts on the street, bootleg. Ps2 games and gba games are the only boots in HK, ps2 games have sketchy people going "ps2 game?" and like I said before, gba carts will be sold in the markets and usually have some sort of 3000 in 1 cart that makes it obvious you're dealing with bootlegs. Golden Arcade in Sham Shui Po is the best place in HK for video games. If you're interested in Rez there was one shop with a Pal rez for like 17 bucks. I picked one up, and it does work on 60 hz tvs, you just have to press down and x on a 50 hz screen that you can't see to choose 60 hz. Yeah, if you have any questions about HK just ask, I was there 3 months ago for a 2 month stay so I know a bit about the place.

I will be going to Seoul as well this summer. I haven't been there yet, so I don't know what to say really. I'll be staying in South Korea for a month (at Ulsan).

Somethings I have found out:
Itaemon is the big shopping district in Seoul
Try Bulgogi (shredded beef). "Kimshi" is pickled cabbage (it's like coleslaw or saurkraut with spicy pepper on it).
"Annyong Haseyo" is "Hi, How are you?"
Korean bathrooms are wet rooms (no shower curtains) so bring waterproof bags to your clothes to change into in.
1000 won is approx. $1 US
