I Am Legend Blu-Ray $18.95 at Amazon
Yeah, that's what I was guessing............
Should wait for the MGS4 PS3 bundle if you are planning to get MGS4. Believe it comes out in June to coincide with the MGS4 release date.

Nah, I don't care for MGS or BC(in this case, partial)..............

Anybody know when they credit the preorder price guarantee? I ordered it a few days ago and its still listed as $24.95 in my order history.

Not sure. I also had a previous order (was in my gold box deals) but canceled and placed a new order to ensure I got this price.

Oh why did you cancelled your goldbox discount? That's the best price and you only pay $17.70, period! If I were you, I just request for price adjustment and pay $17.70 shipped.
anyone got a good idea for what to put into the cart to apply for super savers shipping? Need something which is like 7 bucks
IMO, that's dumb to do because you end up paying more for the filler item than how much it would cost you for shipping...
IMO, that's dumb to do because you end up paying more for the filler item than how much it would cost you for shipping...
True.

But the filler item for me was Sky Captain on Blu-ray for $6.95.

So, y'know, I'll take that over paying for shipping. :D

It all really depends, in my opinion. If you can actually find a filler item you want, I would think you'd rather pay a little more and know that the $3 it would take to pay for regular shipping went to the extra item.

Thnaks a bunch! I had ordered the HD-DVD version since it was originally cheaper. Cancelled the order and bought the blu ray version. No knock on HD-DVD but we all know where that stands!

I'm ordering Aeon Flux, I am Legend, and Justice League on HD, and I am Legend and Justice league are pre orders, and im using free super saving shipping, will they ship aeon flux seperate and justice league and i am legend as they come available, or will they wait and ship all in april?

I got Legend and Enchanted but my shipping estimate is March 24. Are they just hedging the shipping estimate, or are they really going to wait a week to ship it because I used the free shipping option? I thought I was going to be able to put Enchanted in my daughter's Easter basket.

The order will ship when all items are available, so IAL is the last item to arrive, and makes the ship date into April.
fuck...I feel like a traitor but I might switch my order for the Blu-Ray...

EDIT: Yup...I'm a traitor
:whee:
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I mean, they lost, man.

I'm dissapointed my hasn't shipped yet. Was hoping to get it release day...

oh well, I'll have it the 20th, thanks to Prime

I'm pretty sure Amazon doesn't ship anything on Sundays. I know mine always ships on Monday and I have it sometime Tuesday.

I ordered Enchanted in mid-February from Amazon (for my wife for her Easter basket :)), but when the shipping estimate showed up as the beginning of April I cancelled it. I'd rather know that I'll have it on time and that $10 off coupon in the other thread should bring it to below Amazon cost.

Oh I know, but usually by now my changes to shipping soon, which is leading me to believe it won't ship till Tuesday

did anyone hate the shitty zombies in the movie? I loved the first half of the movie but once they showed those zombies my suspension of disbelief was broken. they looked awful. I Mean they could have had shrek come out or the sloth from ice age and it would have been just the same. Just cheap looking CGI.

I agree. I loved the movie as a whole, but I was very unimpressed by the CGI. I wish they'd used real actors and make-up/partial CGI.

I was poking around online and found the original ending (the alternate from the upcoming release). For those of you interested, here's the link. Keep in mind SPOILERS. This is the last 7 minutes of the movie.

Yes, Amazon hedges their bet with the free shipping. I always use it, and the shipping estimate date is almost always a week+ from they actually ship it. Most recently, I had Justice League: The New Frontier pre-ordered, and the shipping estimate was the beginning of March, even though it came out on February 26th. They shipped it on the afternoon of the 25th, though, and I got it on the 27th.

Thanks this just kept me from buying or renting the DVD just to see that alternate ending.

I didnt really care for the ending and to be honest that was a little better but I wanted a more in depth look of the situation. Although we saw New York deserted but I want more as in terms of seeing people acutally changing into these creatures, what the condtion was like in the rest of the world not just NY and a more in depth look of the publics reaction to the sitaution. We really didnt see any of that I know they had some shorts online that was suppose to tell us but I believe that should have been in the movie.

Anyway back on topic this is a good deal to back it didnt have free shipping without the filler but thanks OP.

This movie definitely has enough powerful scenes to warrant a buy for me. Although, I will agree that the CGI used for the zombies was pretty horrible, but there was still some tension from them (namely from the sound).

Somehow I lucked out and while it shipped today I'm getting it tomorrow. It's shipping out of the same state, so that must be why. Just used regular Prime 2 day shipping

Um, if you guys had such a big problem with the CG zombies, maybe it's because they were CG VAMPIRES. How many zombies do you know that won't go out in daylight?

Granted, they still weren't phenomenal looking, and I think Hollywood is more impressed with CGI than the general public is, but they still freaked me out a good amount.

Put in my order yesterday after seeing this thread, but forgot to add something else to my cart to bring the total above $25 for free super saver shipping. Haha. Oh well, it's still better than freakin' $27 for I Robot...
Oh well, it's still better than freakin' $27 for I Robot...
Agreed, I'm hoping for a B1G1 at some point so I can get I, Robot and ID4, and then the Will Smith trilogy will be complete. :applause:

I saw Legend in the theater and I liked it until the last 30min or so
After he kills his dog is were it went down hill for me.
. However High Def Digest gave the transfer 5 stars for Video and Audio that was the tipping point for me to buy it.

I'm tempted to just get it at best buy. I have a 20 dollar gift card from last week with the buy 2 BD movies get a 20 dollar gift card. I could use that and it cost me only 7 and change. Only thing is I'm thinking what if I want to use that card on something else.
With tax and shipping, I can buy it at Wal-Mart right now. I'll pass.
And to contrast, I got free shipping, no tax, and 10% off for a total of $17.05. Sold.

I still can not tell what they changed in the alternative version of the movie from what was in theater. I know the ending is not the same but the rest seems the same. Also on the Bluray version the lights glare and you see blue lines and dots from them. I do not remember this in the theater when I saw it. The sound is great and is the best that I have heard out of the dvds that I have bought in the past year. The menu however sucks. You get 2 choices then have to goto a menu during playback of the movie inorder to get all the other options. Other then the menu the BD version of this film is great. Its the best BD that I have bought.

The only thing different is the ending, I dont have problems with dots and blue lines. I also hate how you get to the menu for special features

It's been a while since I saw the film (back in December on IMAX :D), but I don't recall them ever referring to the monsters as vampires or zombies. I've read the short story, but the movie was a different vehicle entirely.
