Dammit, i hope i feel better by friday, supposed to go see watchmen.
I was kinda of leery about the movie but I watched all the clips here:
http://www.canmag.com/movies.php?moviekey=watchmen

After that I am pretty psyched, and it's free. I usually only get to see one movie every 4 months or so, because we have no one to watch our kid.
I hope it's good.

Morning OTT.

Another OTT bites the dust.

I'm thinking the MPAA/RIAA/ESA are in cahoots with CAG to prevent word of ff7scloud reaching the masses.

I can't believe how bad Resistance 2 is.

Did they even play the fucking game before they shipped it out?

95% of the enemies go strait for you, even if the CPUs are shooting at them.
You can hold about one reload for the good weapons. I love using the shotgun, but you can only hold a spare 8 shells. Conversely, you can hold about 5-6 clips for the bullseye and carbine, the lame ass generic guns. With the marksmen, the auger, and the sniper rifle you only get one spare clip, maybe two.
Some areas are designed around the "do it again" mentality were you're just supposed to keep dying until you get it right.
The chameleons are fucking lame. You can only see them for about a second before you're dead. They appear about 20 feet in front of you and then leap.

I want to like it, I really do... =(

Does anybody here know how to extract files out of an .exe?

I have .exe I would like to get some files out of it, without having to run the setup. I've done this before, but for whatever reason 7zip and WinRAR won't let me do it.

Are you sure it's a self extractor? You should just be able to right click it and "extract to..." or just double click it and it will do it's thing.

If neither happens, you're a retard because you're trying to extract files from something that isn't an archive.

This is true. If it's not a self-extracting archive, you can't get shit out of it as it's just compiled code.

This all doesn't matter since I accomplished what I wanted to do.

I was attempting to roll back a patch a game, so I ended up editing the registry to fool the installer into thinking it was a lower patch version, and then patching over the newer files with the old ones.

EDIT: Yeah, I was confused about that. So I am a moron, but still I got what I needed done.
When did vblog 2 go up?
Link?

I hate that you can't go to user's pages in iPhone's youtube app.

Aaaaand his latest 3 vids are gray'ed out on the mobile Safari browser.

Dammit lordwow, call off you MPAA goons.

It's not his fault you chose film as your college major.

LET HIS REVOLUTION LIVE!!!

That is from the Napoleonic code. It is where the expression "the rule of thumb" comes from. This is why I was balled out for using the phrase a good rule of thumb by my feminist modern folklore prof.

Hmmmm I wake up to another deleted OTT...at least we have been blessed with another "ff7scloud show".

Now I got to go to some dedication for a lab in the neighboring I&T building with the fake engineering students.

My brother didn't want his copy of the PC Riddick game (still sealed from when I gave it to him like 2 years ago), so I took it
Is it significantly better than 08?
If you're a casual fan, no

Im a huge fan so I love the little stuff they put in like day/night progression
and 40 man rosters. Gameplay is mostly the same.
Anyone here try the Chronicles Of Riddick: Dark Athena Demo yet?
Is it up at xbox.com? I can't find it. I'll set it up in my DL queue if it is.

Yeah it's there.

I already loaded it to my queue, but it took a couple of tries to get it queued. For some reason, the first few times I clicked 'Confirm', it said it wasn't available in my region.

Strange, it worked fine for me. I wish 360 had some kind of 'wake on lan' so it could DL this stuff and shutdown without me having to turn it on.

I wonder if I could get a RF device, clone the power on signal from the 360's media center remote, and just keep it set to login automatically. Does anyone make a generic RF 2.8ghz transmitter that would do that?

What i don't understand is how it got such rave reviews. The Ai is horrible, the level design is rote, I think the graphics are actually worse than the original resistance, and the bosses are easy.

The only good thing about the multiplayer is the innovative idea on co-op and the xp system. But the actual gameplay is poor. Weapons feel like they have no kick, the co-op missions are terribly repetative, half the maps are awful.

Really, Killzone 2 is the first exclusive shooter I've played on the PS3 that i can see wanting to play regularly.
That would be awesome, h3ll. I never finished Riddick on the OG xbox so Im really excited for the remake.
I meant 2.4 ghz. I am going to see what I can find out about this idea. I wonder if someone at hack-a-day would help me.
I guess you could even use an IR transmitter, since the MC remote uses that.

'Sup Wolve?

-----------

Tried KZ2 for the first time last night....not bad, played it on the hardest difficulty and I enjoyed it a heck of a lot more than the demo. The controls are hard to get used to, since I do FPS on my X360 but I'm slowly getting used to it but I still have a feeling it's not going to be something I'll be able to get completely used to, the analog sticks are just too close to each other. I got my triggers from Amazon yesterday as well so I had those on and it definitely made the game better but I can't help to think that if I played it with a X360 controller it would be a much better game.
I thought those triggers just extended the L2/R2 buttons?

How is that helping you? Making it easier to crouch?

:whistle2:s
Fingers don't slip and it's easier to tell apart from the top shoulder buttons.

So since I'm home sick all day I've decided to download Photoshop and play around with it for a while.

I need all the pictures of Big Mike you guys can get me.

The presentation is lacking and there is also no sense of flow at all.

I got to the part where the airships are moving in (like 2 hours in) and you're going to board a shuttle. You get with in view of the shuttle and the screen fades, then there's a cut scene of the shuttle flying to the airship and then you're in the hallway of the airship with both your weapons and all grenades --that you had 2 minutes ago-- gone. They didn't have to show us getting on, buckling up, making small talk and riding the whole way there, but the whole process was jarring and abrupt. Gears 2 trounces R2 in terms of presentation and character development.

There's also the Kraken fight; that was horrible. You walk up the steps and the sonic cannon suddenly appears in your hands with unlimited ammo... wtf?

They also resort to pathetic scare tactics with the chameleons appearing right in front of you and the pod people popping right in your face. They aren't actually scary, they're just fucking annoying, and sometimes, cheap.
