I don't know about anyone else but the new Syphon Filter commercial is cool.

yea, got my attention. i think i might wanna get the game when it comes out (or is it already?). will have to check some reviews first though

EGM didn't rate it too high. I'm still interested in it though. I''ll wait for a cheapass deal on it.

I haven't seen the commercial.

I remember it getting fair reviews from the magazines (probably GI, EGM and GP).. something along the lines of 6-8's and comments along the lines of.. good gameplay, great multiplayer, but lacking in story and depth (or something like that). I figure I'll pick it up once it gets cheap, I've always loved the series.

I have reviews of this in 3 of the whatever magazines that I get for free :).

EGM
GAMEPRO
Someother

They all got above average reviews, nothing spectacular... the best thing noted was the multiplayer coop mission feature.

Also noted is that the deign your own character models were very limited.

HEY! watchout for Syphon Filter. I thought the game is good like the 1st three game but it let me down. I played the full version of the game at Ebgames today .........is Horrible (the camera is get annoying plus more)

Syphon Filter is worth $10 or 15 if you are FANs.

I don't know...I wasn't too fond of this commercial. It seemed like a cool enough idea, but it didn't really do a good job of showing me the game. However, it was a good effort - certainly better than Sega's Sonic Heroes commercials (that was the last game commercial i can explicitly remember).

This is an accurate portrayal of nearly every game commercial out there...
A 90-120 second commercial with only 10 seconds worth of actual game footage thrown in at the end...almost as an afterthought.

Ninja Gaiden: A game people were frothing for, what do we get...? A schmuck playing with sausages.
SC: Pandora Tomorrow: Instead of highlighting their innovative multiplayer they show some fake soldier sneaking around.
FF Tactics Advance: Need I even touch this one...?

The only ones that stray from the above formula seem to be games with great CG FMV...Final Fantasy commercials tend to be nothing but clips of their cutscenes.

One exception though would be Viewtiful Joe...I won't say it had a good commercial...just that it at least didn't go with a live action shot. If they had the narrator speak in Japanese or just dropped him altogether it would have been pretty good though...

oh, and how about the games that proudly display their ratings from known game reviewers...ya know like Newsweek and Maxim...

to get back on topic...yeah the Syphon Filter one was okay...thought my satellite reception was dying at first (it tends to in bad weather)...
GMR gave SF :OS and the new Transformer game 5/10, ouch.
from what ive seen with other games....gmr and game informer dont know shit about reviewing games....and i hate how gamepro formats their reviewing scores....i pretty much just trust psm and opm

 , yeah that FF:TA was one good game commercial. [sarcasm]

I was puzzled for awhile, until I saw it about ten times in one night (the FF:TA commercial). I called the number and there were actually voices there!!!!! It was really wierd....
