well i got the call today around 1030 saying my gamestop got the game i wanted shipped to them from another store. I got into the car and flew over there as fast as i could : ).... Man Chicago driving is crazy during the day ...... well i walked into the store thinking In store prices are the same as web prices and boy was i wrong... i walked up and told the dude i was there to pick up the game thinking im glad i got the game for 38 bucks but then i found out

valkyrie profile online 37.99

valkyrie profile in store was 49.99

as i pulled up 40 bucks the person says. " this game is 49.99" that sort of shocked me. i was like do i really want to pay 50 bucks for this game, well it would be 45 bucks after the discount card. so i told them let me look around the store a little and if i didnt see anything i probally get it (this wasnt a problem since they said a few people would want it as well... not seeing anything i said i guess i take it and was even more shocked... the dude pulled out the game and i saw that it had case. The worker then said you got a great deal cause it was

COMPLETE AND ALMOST MINT... Both cds (2nd cd has a few scratches.) manual and case (there are two small cracks in the front of the case)

as soon as i found out it was complete i took it right away.... i would rather paid 38 bucks for it online but I dont think i can really complain getting a complete valkyrie profile for 45 bucks is a nice deal

Congrats!!

Isn't it amazing how they know you want something, that the price miraculously goes up 25%? But hey they got what they wanted and by the sound of it, so did you! Have fun playing!

At least in-store you wouldn't risk incompletness.

You asked another Gamestop to ship a game to your store? They do that?

I'd like info on that, if you could.

you just look up the game you want, find a store that has it. you then call them up and ask them to ship it to another store (you may need the manager from the store the game is getting shipped to to call for you)

Some stores that have opened in the last 6 months are not allow to ship. i found this out with the persona 2 i wanted (glad it didnt ship)

it takes around 3 days after they ship it to get to the other store. i was shocked that it came complete as well

prices are different online than in-store. there's no conspiracy here.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes, the website and the store price are two completely different things?

I see old games cheaper in the store than the website and vice versa all the time.

yea when i was driving home i guess the prices are different. Web is like around 40 or 45 for the lunars but they have them in store for 30. since lunar was cheaper in store then online i was hoping this game would been too. i paid 50 bucks for a disc only sulk 2 i guess i can pay 45 for a complete Profile

wow, amazing deal slide! what part of Chicago did you pick it up in and where was in shipped from, because I was going to ship one to a store close to me but they sold it a day before I called.

Cool...

if there were a gamestop anywhere near me, I would request stuff (closest one with anything good is Paducah... sigh).

Looks like I'm sticking to CAG.

Again, nice find, slidecage.

/you probably still hate me
//but the one you bought is complete; mine wasn't

I know I'm south burbs, but I also work on the south side, and the south burb managers typically act like it is the equivalent of giving birth. The south side (actually in city) managers seem better at it.
