Odds that this never happened and the thread was started with the OP simply hoping he'd get PM's asking where he got points, only to give them his email?
 
Why would you assume he's getting them from a pirate with a points generator? He didn't really imply anything of the sort from what I can tell. I mean, I bought a 4000 point card from Amazon for $38 once.

To answer bayarea's question: I think that's a pretty good deal (you know, assuming it was a legit deal. Of course, I have been guilty of being a little naive of people and their motives in the past lol)
 
I paid 400 MS Points for Dishwasher - Dead Samurai today (on sale this week on XBLA). You should, too, it would make your deal even better...if you're not fishing for suckers to sell stolen points to...

That's pretty stupid to use a point generator (regardless if OP didn't use one or not). That's a good way to not only get your account banned, but maybe even some legal action from Microsoft.

Because he was a new user with no other posts...and never made another one after this, either. As another poster said, he was likely hoping to get PM/s about this "deal," so he could make some money.
