So, I went to BB today to get some games I was after. I bought in a CompUSA ad, since they had MGS 3 for $40 this week, and I wanted to price match. I also bought in four $10 reward zone cert. and one $5 off coupon for Budokai 3.

I grab MGS 3, DBZ: Budokai 3, Kingdom Hearts:COM (for a friend) and R&C: UYA from the shelf and of course, a GGC. :cool: I headed to the checkout line and got them to do the following:

1. Price match MGS3 for $40. They didn't even call the store or anything like that, just matched the price and took an extra 10% off.
2. I use one of my cert. to knock another $10 off the price.
3. Clerk scans Budokai 3.
4. I use the $5 off coupon from their GamePro coupon book.
5. I used two $10 off cert.
6. Clerk scans KH: COM.
7. I purchase them all for the low, low price of $85! (that includes tax)
8. I got a $10 gift card for spending over $75.

Next up, R&C: UYA. Clerk scans game. I use my final $10 off cert. and my GGC coupon. Total = $26.74 :cool:

So, I got: MGS 3, DBZ Budokai 3, R&C: UYA and KH:COM for $111.74 (with tax) plus a free $10 gift card.

All in all, an amazing score. :D

Wouldn't it be less then $16.74? It would be $1.05 tax instead of $1.74 tax.
 
I'm kind of surprised the clerk didn't somehow slip up with all of those things to keep in mind during the purchase. Anyways, nice haul. :)
 
I just saw that Budokai 3 is $30 in this weeks ad. I was going to get it price matched to that, but since I got a free $10 giftcard with my purchase, would they make me return the giftcard, as well?

If it says anything on the receipt, I'm guessing yes. I think it'd be better to get it for $25 though. (Rather than keeping the giftcard.)

The giftcard is shown on the receipt. I got it for $32 on that day and I'm planning to use the giftcard and a GGC to score Megaman X8 this week for $15. :)

Okay, then that's the better thing to do. You'd save more money in the long run. Of course, if you had spare time, you could always try to return it.
 
I picked up Advance Wars 2 from BB today for $10...Complete impluse buy & was wondering if that was a good price for it, if it's any good, and is that price a sale or am I talking about a price that everyone knows about already?
 
Nice job getting BB to give you the extra 10% at the time of purchase. Their policy is to only give 10% of the difference if you come back in with the receipt, after making the purchase (which is very lame).

And Advance Wars 2 for $10 is a great price. I bought it from bb.com for that (plus S&H though...) a week ago. Based on it's gamerankings.com score it's one of the better GBA games (haven't played it yet).
 
I went back to BB today and scored a little more. I bought a "20% off ANY DVD" coupon and my free $10 giftcard from the last purchase this time. I grabbed another GGC and went to pick up my items (Mega Man X8 and Simpsons Season 5 DVD).

1. Clerk scans GGC. I put $17 on it.
2. Next, Clerk scans MMX8 ($29.99)
3. Used GGC coupon.
4. Used my $10 giftcard
5. Purchased MMX8 for $16.05 :cool:

Next purchase:
1. Clerk scans Simpsons Season 5 (also $29.99)
2. Used 20% off DVD coupon.
3. Purchased Simpsons for $25.64 :)

Not as good as my last score, but still not bad.
