I hate PS2 because Sony makes Junk systems and PSP will be the same.

Playstation 1 was a faulty system and PS2 is the worst mechanical system ever. I have had to pop the top and fix the height of the laser twice and now it will not play DVD's. My money says the PSP, at least the first couple waves will be faulty as well. For my handheld needs, I am sticking with the DS.
 
I'm so sick of you f*cking newbies posting this shit in the deals forum. PS1 was an excellent system. I have owned both versions, and both worked great for me. It's too bad your PS2 sucks. I don't think owning one PS2 qualifies you to make the blanket statement that PS2 is junk. Moreover, I'm quite sure nobody gives a f*ck about your preference in portable systems.
 
it allready has had it's faults, if I am not mistaken you can barely twist it and the umd pops out in mid play. dead pixels and other stuff have been problems so far, but sony doesn't make the best hardware. :( I am on my 3rd ps2

complain complain complain, that's all ANYONE anywhere does, why don't you shut the f@(% up and smoke a joint and get a life

supposedly it takes a good effort to twist the system to make the UMD fly out. but again, why the heck would you be twisting the system to begin with?

I'll test this out though when I get mine today or tomorrow :)
 
Yeah, Sony has had a horrible history with the quality of their consoles. I can't deny that but...

I have a launch PS and a launch PS2 that have never given me a problem and the PS2 at my vacation house has never given me a problem either. Keep it clean and keep it in an area where the fan can do its work and you will be fine.

Now, if you do get a dreaded DRE... Sony has gone above and beyond to correct the problems (well beyond the warranty period).

Your comment reeks of being a fanboy. I love the DS as much as the next guy, but anyone who sees the need to base a system that hasn't come out yet is a fanboy.

Each system has its merits and you will be missing a ton of great games if you overlook one simply due to a disliek for the manufacturer and a blinded love for another console.

never had a problem with my PS1 that i got back in 98'. My launch PS2 still plays DVD's and PS1 and PS2 games without any problems. i hear a ton of people who have problems with their systems, but it's never happened to me.

the PSP looks neat, but i think i'll wait a year for the price to go down and all the bugs to be worked out of the system.

Exactly the same here. Launch PS1, no problems. Launch PS2, no problems. Read the rules of the forum before posting OP.
 
You know, i've learned a little bit in the past couple of years... love all thy system's, b/c there is going to be something for everyone on every system... i dont think it really matters so much what system you get...

agreed, cept for the ds part :p *dont have one, cant make an opinion on it* but yea, ive had my ps1 since launch and its been working great, the systems are quite durable as well, lots of transporting, even few drops, still work..i keep hearing rumors about psp, so that'll steer me away from launch :whistle2:[..but just cus u had*topic poster* a faulty system, dusnt mean ALL OF THEM are horrible, call up sony and they will replace it *maybe its a bit too late now however :p*
