I just found a $20 Sam Goody gift card from Christmas that I haven't redeemed yet. It's good online and in-store, but I'd prefer to just use it online if possible.

Only prob is, I can't decide what I want. I know I want music, so that's a start. Any suggestions? Throw anything out, I'm all ears here.

Pretty much covered in that regard, thanks Trak.

I'm considering the new Mars Volta, but it's gonna be $7 all week at pretty much every store, while it's $10 at SG.

Throw some wierd stuff out there, the stuff you have that you don't expect anyone else to enjoy. That's what I'm looking for folks. Something... different.

Different? The Postal Service's new CD is different.. the Garden State soundtrack is woooooondddddderrrrrrrrful... hell, you should pick up the movie if you haven't yet!

Any free shipping codes? :D

Thanks for the suggestions Scorch. I'm going to sleep, and I expect this thread to be brimming with quality endorsements when I read it tomorrow.

Make it so.

Already have that actually. My fave Clash is the British cut of their first album though.

In light of their killer shipping, I'm just gonna go up there in about an hour and hope something catches my eye.

Sam Goody is still around? The three closest ones to me all closed down a year or so ago! Their prices were way too high.

Truth. When I got the gift card and saw that it was for Sam Goody, I thought, "Great, I can get one CD. Maybe."

All of those mall type record stores are insane with their prices. Every time I see a bunch of people in one I want to walk in there and just bust out laughing that people actually are thinking about buying something there.

You owe it to yourself and your friends to pick up either a Yngwie Malmsteen (Classical Metal) or Steve Vai (One of the best guitarists in history, he makes the guitar make some crazy noises and all of his songs are interesting to listen to) CD.

Pick up "Rising Force" for Yngwie
and/or
"The Infinite Steve Vai" for Vai
