i have lcd monitor with dvi-d input...what adapter do i need for hdmi-PS3

if i want to use an hdmi cable..do i need a male HDMI to female DVI-D adapter? or female HDMI to male DVI-D adapter...


or what kind of cable. thanks!
 
my ps3 hdmi cable is male to male i'm pretty sure... so HDMI should be Female. I guess that means the DVI-D should be male.
 
Just remember that you're running your video only through HDMI to DVI-D. No audio is done over a DVI-D connection. You'd need to run your audio output to something else, like a receiver or PC speakers, and the easiest way to do it is to connect your PS3 via optical out to your speakers or receiver.
