I was talking with an employee in the game dept. and saw an old ps2 bundle on the counter for a $100. He said it was missing the game and power cord. Because I asked about that, he brought up that he noticed on the next truck coming there were two different ps2's listed, one of which seemed to match the description of the bundle.

I don't know how much I should trust this, but do you think that Sony might bring back the original design? I'm just curious if anyone's heard anything like this.
 
Maybe a new holiday bundle or perhaps Toys R Us had some older ps2 systems in a warehouse or something and are shipping to that particular store. The old style is dead though since the new one is cheaper for Sony to make.
 
Yes that is true. The slim PStwos costs less than $100 to make. Because of that, it's rumored that the PS2 will be reduced to $100 when Xbox360 launches.
