Seriously, though, what would be the best way to make sure no one spoils the game? Should we all just stop posting on message boards until we beat it? Stop playing Xbl until that time? How are YOU going to do your best to not ruin the experience?

***I haven't actually even played Halo 2 nor do I even have a modded xbox to do so******

It doesn't even look that good.

The screens posted all over the place, show generic models, and maps.
Nothing special.

The characters are the worst looking I've seen, since the 2nd generation of games.

Nothing but multiplayer, that makes this game.

:p

Try not to troll, it just causes flaming, and noone gains from that.

Who cares if it's spoiled or not? That's like saying someone spoiled a Dead or Alive game for you.

The "story" sucks.

Please, some of us still have a shred of hope, even after the first game.

Zach's island blows up. Well that was DOA: XBV. I haven't played DOA 3 yet so don't anyone spoil it for me.

It will probably be a year before I get through halo 2 because I'll probably play through GTA: SA about 20 times before I even touch halo 2...

Well, the article in EGM2 seemed to imply that Halo 2 will actually HAVE a decent story this time. They said they didn't have "time" to make a story in the first one. (What takes 4 years and still doesn't have a good story besides Halo? NWN!!!)

I doubt that the second one will have a story but than the first. The first one was full of plot holes and simply thinking of it, can make someone understand that it stunk. I really don't care, but I do see potential in the game so hopefully they fix what the first one messed up.

All the Halo hate...so sad. I guess that's the new requirement to be one of the cool people on the internets these days.

Oh well, who I know where I'm going to be on November 9th...enjoying the hell out of Halo 2. That's all that matters - fuck everyone else.

Oh, and by the way, enjoy my avatar until then, bitches...

I'm not trying to be cool. I've been preaching the same stuff since the moment it came out. But I will say that I will at least give it a chance by renting it and seeing if they improved on the first, because the first had a lot of potential in it.

well if this isn't obvious here is a title suggestion if for some reason you MUST discuss the story of this game or any game.

***Halo 2 spoilers***

or

***Halo 2 plot spoilers***

heck pretty much put spoilers in any area of any game that might ruing the story of a game or something else vital.

like Master chiefs ***spoiler***

flatulance powered jet pack

***end spoiler***

just my opinion. I love a good story is all.

I'd say there is one very simple solution to avoiding Halo 2 plot info prior to playing it for yourself. It's callled a life. A terrible distraction, I know, but this life thing has been shown in clinical studies to have highly effective preventative qualities where early plot revalation is a possible threat. In many case the distraction level caused by consumption of the life distillate caused many to entirely lose interest in not only the anticipated plot but the entire setting of the plot until well after the product had become widely available. As a result, many of the test subjects paid a lower price for the product while receiving full enjoyment. The recovered funds were channels toward more of the life distillate or additional purchases of unrevealed plot containing media.

But the outside world is soooooo scary.

What if someone drives by and yells out the ending to Halo 2 while I'm outside? Drive by spoilers are pretty common in my neighborhood.

Shoot him and jack his car for profit and a rising rank within your region's organized crime operations. Abuse of fiction should be met with same.
I'm not familiar? What is a Halo2?
It's a game series based on Milton's 'Paradise Lost' in which the player is an angel who takes a side in the war for Heaven. The title refers to your primary weapon and it ornamenture also defines your ranking.

I had the plot ruined on the bungie.net forums. The Chief does die. But then you just reload to the last checkpoint. Just kidding I don't know anything about the story..

wow those halo haters are sooo cool I wish I could be a hater. Seriously, just stay out of a topic if you don't like it.

I wish you ill, halo haters. I'd say something about your bitches, but it appears you've eaten them.

How do you "enjoy the hell out of" something? Are you saying that hell dwells in Halo 2? Must not it first be in before it can be enjoyed out?
What is a "statue of limitations?" Is this like the height requirement sign at fair rides? A statue of a kid stating the height limit to get on? Perhaps you meant to say "statute?"
Wouldn't you have to speak French to understand the story anyway?
I think that there are subtitles.
I think the story is decent on the first game and the books really amplify the story.
The books were good! I read those and then now im reading the RE books. Their pretty good as well!
