I just found a pristine working NES for $5.

I was at the local thrift store looking for stuff to dress up as a Death Wish 3 street creep for Halloween, and I spotted an NES, in excellent condition, just sitting there among the usual broken tape players, coffeemakers and wireless phones. It's completely unyellowed, and looks like it was used for maybe 6 weeks before a parent confiscated it or something. I bought it for $5, took it home, fired it up, popped in Mega Man 1. It worked perfectly on the first try. My original NES from '88 or '89 still works but looks totally hideous, so I'm very happy with this.
