CAGiversary!
My girlfriend and I finally splurged on a nice TV (mainly so I can understand what the hell is going on in Dead Rising). It's got about a million inputs, and I've got about a million consoles in my living room, so we figured it's a good match. And it had this bullet point on the website about being able to rename the external inputs in the menu to match what's hooked up to them.
LIARS.
You can select from a default list of common components and change the name/icon of an input accordingly. Like 'DVD' or 'Receiver' or 'Cable.' Or 'Game.' And it has a little icon of a MadCatz PS2 controller or something. So, I have a choice of having my input menu have a dozen entries reading 'Composite' or a dozen entries reading 'Game,' all with identicle icons completely indistinguishable from one another. I don't understand why Sony couldn't have made a way to enter three or four characters and have the label display that. I mean, you can do it for TV channels.
At least I can read all the text in my 360 games now.
