I recently saved up over $6,000, in pure profit from Ebay in about a 6 months span. I had a 89 Mercury cougar with 198,000 miles, needless to say it dident turn very man heads unless it was the knocking noice under the hood of the car. So I figured it was time to get a new car, so I was looking in a thing called the trading post which has classified ad's for cars. I then decided on a 97 Mustang V6 with only 68,000 miles, and it was garaged kept. It was in excellent condition, with performacnce parts added to the engine, and a perfornce exhaust. So I went their test drove it, drove like a dream, hnded her the 4,000 cash(book value is 6,000+..

what you guys think, think I got a good deal. The mechanic who checked it out said it was in superb condition, and if he had 4,000k he would buy it

It looks like a sweet ride to me. I do not know much about cars but the wheels do not look that hot. Get some spinners!

Non-GT Mustang? V6? No thanks. Dime a dozen.

If you are happy, that is what counts though.

Congratulations! $4k seems like a great deal. $1,000/mo in eBay profits? I bow to you, sir.

Have fun with your car, wear your seatbelt, and always obey the speed limit.

Oo nice rust stain.

Seriously though everyone i know who has a mustang has to bring it to get fixed every month. Hopefully you fair better then they do.

It's hard to find Mustangs of that body style still in decent shape. Most I see now a days have a bit of damage, as their bumpers are fragile. Body looks clean, and if it hasn't been ragged out like the mechanic said, you scored a good deal. Now, just take good care of it! And with the $2000 you saved, you can go and buy my PSP Bundle on eBay!

Nice find! Have fun driving it.

Thats a pretty good price but I would have saved up alittle more and got a GT or a cobra. Hopefully it's a manual since driving "muscle cars" is sorta boring with an automatic.

Then again lots of cars are like htat, my dad has an 80's mustang, never repaired

I had a Rustang V6 about a year ago... biggest POS ever... things were breakin left & right... and ate gas like nuthin...

Worst car I ever owned... hope you have better luck with yours... tho...
OP,

These guys are just busting your chops. Great car and great price - enjoy!!!
Thanks man

Spinners turn heads because people want to get a look at the idiot who paid real money for them.

well thats why I look at them lol

Good deal, but in about 2 weeks you're going to start thinking about a GT. Then again when I got my 2001 GT I started thinking about a Cobra. Nice looking car, seems like you got a hell of a deal. Only thing that matters is what you think anyways.

opps forgot to mention the spots that someone claimed to be rust, it is just part of the tree that is above the car, dead flowers abnd leaves fall on my car

4,000k? If I had $4,000,000 I would buy a lot of stuff, too.

Dime a dozen? Maybe. Your shitty attitude and disrespecting the mans car? No thanks. What's in your wallet?

There are people who can't afford the insurance on something they can only legally go so fast in. Nothing wrong with a V6.

A Mustang is a cool car, GT or not. Hope you enjoy it and it does well for you. Now, don't rice it up, keep it a Mustang, not a Honda. =P
Nice car beats my means of transportation.
Your transportation is probably cheaper, healthier and friendlier to the environment. See, there's an upside to everything. :D

Thanks, at least someone has a positive attitude around here

the rims have been replaced they arent original and they suck, replace them and you have a nice ride, and get it painted to royal blu it cots like 180 with maaco but itll make the car seem much higher in value!

I take it you own a mustang too. Sorry about that. The man asked me what I thought of his ride and I told him. Dime a dozen.

As for me, I drive a WRX. Would blow a Mustang, GT or not, off the road. How you like them apples?

Apples are apples I suppose, doesn't really matter much to me. We're all happy for you here. Grats on the car, and with the blowin and all.

"My car's faster than your car" just really means little to me, sorry.
Every goober in a ricemobile who fucks with me at the stoplight, every one of them makes me ask myself the same question. "Is he going to go mow my lawn or wanting to race me?"

yea, very great score - black is a good Mustang color :D

It's nice to be able to find a car that age with low mileage.
It looks to be in great shape. If it was garage kept with that low of mileage the paint probably looks pretty good, so I wouldn't keep putting it under that tree.

About the rims, they are the correct rims for that car.

Never get your car painted at maaco for 180 unless you just need a quick paint job to get rid of the car.

I'm not really impressed with the car, as I know jackshit about cars... what I am impressed with is:

I recently saved up over $6,000, in pure profit from Ebay in about a 6 months span.

That's incredible...
