I never really understood why things such as this deserve "congrats". Was it some hard-fought battle? Did you best someone in a test of strategic guile? Are we congratulating you on not being a lonely bastard for the rest of your life? That you got tricked into coughing up money for a ring while she gets you absolutely nothing?
