I know alot of people joke about moving to Canada, but is anyone serious?
Powell is a Good Soldier. Thats the term you're looking for.
Yep, that's exactly the word - um, phrase - for it. Powell is a good soldier. He had the opportunity to do the right thing and blow the whistle on the whole Iraq mess before it even got started, but instead he followed orders. He essentially took the (political) bullet for the president by going in front of the UN and spreading unsubstaniated BS.

Bob Woodward's book has a lot of stuff about and from Powell while this was going on. I'm going to pick up a copy pretty soon, I heard its very insightful into what was going on at the time, since Woodward had unbelievable access to the administration at the time.

I'm seriously considering moving to CA to go to film school in Tdot- would still only be an hour from fam and would have to deal with gay bashers and the money machine.

Interesting, though sadly alberta and possibly a few other provinces should be in jesusland (though particularly alberta), I'm not sure what to do with quebec, they don't want to be in canada, but I'm not sure if they're liberal or not. Still, at least that way I'd like my president, or prime minister. Well maybe, I don't like paul martin, but I'd at least tolerate them. Then again, without the north around to moderate the south, it may get worse. The north would still be the economic powerhouse, but I wonder which would be the military powerhouse. If it was jesusland that would be even worse. Though one thing I find ironic, we defeated the south in civil war, and now they're controlling the north. It's not fair.
