I know this isn't really the place, but... Driver issues. Help?

I just wiped and reinstalled Windows 2k on my pc, and the graphics look absolutely horrible. I mean, like comic-book-taped-to-my-monitor horrible. I've concluded that the reason is that I don't have the latest driver for my graphics. It's a really cheap stock machine, just to get me by, A Dell Optiplex GX150, But the point is that In the Device Manager, my graphics controller is labeled, "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)"

I desperately, desperately need help fixing this! I know I'm an idiot for wiping without the drivers ready, but my system crashed and I was forced to. Any help with even figuring out the damned NAME of my graphics controller would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same problem with my laptop. I'm looking for the original drivers cd which is in somewhere in my house. Oh yeah, did you try search for drivers via dell based on your computer's model number?

Yes if the video is onboard you just need to get the model number off the back and search the website. No problem. Just be glad you don't own an IBM and have to search the Lenovo site for drivers.

Here's a good habit I started a while back: make a folder on your PC called "Drivers" and save all these individual files there. Burn them to a disc. Next time you have to reformat, much easier it will be. Yeeeeessssss, it will be...

UPDATE: Ok, I wiped AGAIN and installed xp, and all problems were fixed. But regardless, that is good advice, Richie. Thanks.
